Lovely food, great feel to the place. Don't judge a book but it's cover. Give the food a chance, lovely stuff. Great log fire in the main bar area.

Food was excellent, if a little pricey. Service was impeccable, and the drinks were a reasonable price. Highly recommend going for a family meal, less so for drinks with friends.

Great friendly family ran hotel, decent food for reasonable prices. They cater for your needs and the cooked breakfast included is customizable. Cooked to order.

Great stay. John was a great host. Rooms decent sized and easy parking. Breakfast in the morning good. A lovely traditional pub with friendly locals - would recommend and return if I am ever in the area.

Wanted to visit trecastle for its historic value on route else where. As we'd been on the road a while and the recent floods had caused a few detours we thought visiting the historical village would be the prefect opportunity to stop off for a quick bite n drink. ...... arrived to find nothing remotely historical, sat nav was useless there n the coaching inn not open ........ aoparently they don't open in the day! Left village and visited The Usk & Railway just up the road!!!

Stayed here for a week a few years back. Amazing staff and very friendly. Internet and TV weren't the greatest and there isn't much to do around.
