Absolutely amazing place night manager helped with all the luggage and there was 8 off us room's was extremely clean and well presented . Me and my Co driver didn't have bookings and it was about 11.30pm we turned up and he was straight on the phone sorting it out with his manager. Give us a free bottle of proper Welsh black dragon . What had a amazing taste 8 point something percent . Breakfast was brilliant cooked well and the bread was something I've never tasted before absolutely marvellous. Unlimited juices.
All I can say is check it out for yourself. Take it from me you will not be disappointed

When we first visited we were told dogs weren't allowed so we stayed up the road. Second visit we were dog free and found a room online. Room was absolutely massive with a sofa bed that was made up in arrival. Toiletries supplied. Shower was a bit of a faff and a the lever to turn it on was a bit stiff. My son couldn't fathom the shower curtain either so there was water everywhere. Guests need to be encouraged to open windows when showing as its created a bit of condensation mould. No secondary glazing so road noise evident through the night and early morning. However the HUGE extremely comfortable bed made for a sound night's sleep. The room was clean bar a small bit of what looked like chocolate on the floor. The grill in the hotel served gorgeous food and was well worth a visit
Free parking aplenty for guests.
Nice hotel overall

We spent ten wonderful days here. It's a lovely place to use as a base for exploring Snowdonia. Cheerful, welcoming staff, great breakfast every morning and a comfortable, bright and clean room.
We will be back for sure

Our 4th stay at the Royal Oak, and still love this place. It’s the perfect base for exploring the area. Rooms are comfy, clean and have character. Breakfast is great. Staff are friendly and helpful. There is plenty of parking and there are electric car charging points. We will be back again next year no doubt.

Just had a really good lunch here, sat outside, under cover with the dog. Ordered using the table app. Lovely food, good beer and wine, reasonable price. We didn't have to wait long at all. Thank you, highly recommended

Had a lovely 2 night stay this weekend, the room was really nice and clean. We ate at the hotel all food was lovely even the cooked breakfast which were all hot. We used the sister hotel to have a swim and sauna, steam room too. We would definitely recommend here and we will be back to visit.

I can't comment on rooms but we went to Y Stablau bar for tea and it was lovely. Polite and engaging staff, dog friendly (with special dog memu), and fantastic beer and chips! You can sit inside or outside. Excellent selection of food, children's menu. Traditional Welsh beers.
