The hotel is looking a bit dated and there's no evening food provided anymore. The room was a good size but the lamps didn't work and the bed was uncomfortable, but the shower was nice and powerful. They provided an early breakfast for me which was a really nice touch and the EV charging was efficient. The staff were very friendly as well.

Although in need of some DIY tlc, the shower and bath was a warm welcome with nice towels and even a pot for used tea bags was good thinking, sleep wasn't brilliant due to a generator noise and street lamp coming through gap in the blind, breakfast was good, for the money it was what one expects.

Visited the Riverside for a function. Pleasant hotel in Monmouth, staff very helpful and friendly. Didn't stay as an overnight guest so unable to comment on rooms etc.

Pleasantly surprised for a 2 star accommodation. Excellent location, rooms clean, staff extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was absolutely superb ! Would recommend.

As was told by a member of staff: you get what you see. True, I got no moans, staff happy and helpful great breakfast fair bar prices and accommodation prices. Great carparking with a free carpark immediately across the road and about 50m from the monnow bridge. Hotel is fine, room a little tired with a good size TV and an excellent shower. I'd definitely stay again, well worth the money 100%
