Il Portico

Good Italian restaurant with the look and feel of your local family friendly Italian. The service is really good and the food is also good. The wine selection is what you expect from a completely authentic Italian and the menu has got all the classics. I'm not giving a 5 stars to Il Portico because the pork ragu lacks the amazing flavour I was expecting, but it a place worth paying a visit.

Just had the most amazing meal here. We've lived locally for 10 years and yet never been! One child free spontaneous night and by chance they had a free table.. Outstanding service. Incredible food. Great atmosphere. Booked for another evening before we left... this I feel sure will become a new regular for us.

I went there on my last day in London, 10 minutes aways from High street Kensington station, the food was nice, but I felt the food was rushed cause I came 15 minutes before the kitchen closes, the taste was not bad at all, but the presentation wasn't that great, and that's why I gave 4 stars, I had veal milanese and zucchini fritte, really they tasted great, but I just hated how they looked like, they were just tossed on the plates and served with no consideration whatsoever for how they looked like..

Lovely meal and service. Super tasty. We booked a table for 8pm on a Saturday evening and loses 1 star as I was conscious from the end of the main course onwards that they were willing us to leave- so we couldn’t fully relax to enjoy our puddings. I would book an earlier table next time for this reason.

Fabulous food, fantastic setting and we were very well looked after by James, the owner. Exactly what you want from an Italian restaurant - family-owned/run, great wine and authentic dishes cooked perfectly. Can't recommend highly enough! * * * * *

Absolutely superb - one of the best Italian restaurants I have eaten at in London for many years. Family run and truly lovely - the owner and his children served us wonderfully. The duck breast was outstanding! Will be back :)

The overall experience was pleasant. The server was attentive. The process were reasonable. The gnocchi was tasty. I had the clams. They made an effort for our vegetarian friend.

Delicious tasting authentic Italian food with great service. Really enjoyed a meal here and the menu is superb. Great choice with lots of variety with info showing where the food is sourced. The specials are great the location with outside gazebos really is a nice touch. Would recommend
