Primo Piano Ristorante & Pizzeria

One of the most charming Italian restaurants that I've ever come across. Welcoming and friendly staff, great service and the most wonderful food, set in a cozy upstairs room all go to make a great meal out here. I've had the privilege of dining here quite a few times and I recommend that you call and book your table well in advance, as this is a very popular restaurant. As with all places there is a plentiful main menu as well as a specials board - what always tops off our evenings there is the fact that the owner can always be found working either in the kitchen or waiting on, and he invariably comes around to ask how your meal and your experience were - a definite five star place for me and mine.

Brilliant atmosphere, looved the interior! Right in the town centre with free parking. Lovely service all the staff were very helpful. The starters are amazing but the main lacked flavour in the pasta sauce (veg tagiatele). Would highly recommend the mushroom starters though! Overall a good experience would try again.

Visited here last night with a friend. First returning visit in quite some time. The food was delicious; we both had Spaghetti Carbonara. It was busy for a Thursday evening but didn't have to wait too long for food. Friendly staff with great service.

We booked last minute tonight and they were very accommodating and had a table ready for us even though they were clearly busy!
Even with being busy the service and food was not compromised at all!
The food was incredible! One of the best italians we have been to!
The ladies serving were friendly and attentive and although the dining area is small we didn't feel overcrowded at all. Will definitely be back!!

Been waiting to try primo for a long time and finally got the chance (even though I’m local). The great reviews that this place has are fully justified, the staff are very attentive and accommodating, the atmosphere and character of the place are really good and the menu is just right. As for the food, we had 6 people at the table who all had a different meal, all plates were emptied. The service time was really good and the food was amazing. Really delicious food, the ‘special scotch egg’ starter is a MUST!!! And my pappardelle bolognaise was delicious! Will definitely be trying to make Primo a more regular occurrence!

I have been staying on leek on and off the last few weeks. I would love to review this testaurants food, however i have been twice now, once a few weeks ago at 9pm and this evening at 8 45 pm. Both times I have been told that the kitchen is closed even though the opening hours say 10pm!! It's ridiculous. Closing the kitchen at 8.45. Come on you lot get it sorted and advertise your correct opening hours.
