Great little restaurant with lovely staff and exquisite food. For real.. so good. The selection of wines is ideal if you’re into wines, but mind the price! That said, I am grateful London can offer this good food from Italy

We recently attended a supper club at Symposium. It was called Enchanted Sicily and was a wine and food pairing meal. The food was absolutely delicious and unusual, with a perfectly cooked veggie pasta dish, and two fish dishes. And we got a little information about the wine matched with each course. There was a white, a rose and a red. Again they were unusual and enhanced the food and we went home having bought two of the bottles to drink again. (We also happily explored the deli at the end. The wine they stock is extremely unusual and very reasonably priced. The charcuterie and cheese looked amazing. I have it on good authority that the gelato is worth travelling for!)
It was an intimate evening with candles and small tables so would have been perfect for a romantic meal for two, as well as a great thing to do with friends (which is what we did).
We are so lucky in East London to have such high quality food and wine available to us locally. And the price point was very reasonable for three courses and a glass of wine with each course
We will definitely be rebooking for future supper clubs.

A little unexpected revelation. The food is prepared with so much love and exquisite ingredients by the chef Antonella that we couldn’t believe our palates. The wine list is adventurous- plenty of cool orange wines - and the puddings to die for. Go go go.

Excellent Italian restaurant. The food was amazing. We had the paccheri with red mullet and the troffie with pesto. Both yummy. We also had rum baba and tiramisu. Both excellent. The selection of wines are great. We had a lovely orange unfiltered wine. The service was excellent as well. Can’t wait to go back!

We had a lovely early evening meal here. We arrived before evening service had begun and had some delicious antipasti, before some incredible pasta. Highly recommend. Also - you’ll get to meet Stella, the Customer Service Manager, who is also a dog. All the staff, including Stella, are very friendly and the wine is excellent too.

Very nice experience. Smallish dishes but high quality. The service, the chef and the managers dog makes it a 5 star experience.
Sorry, didn’t get the pictures of the food but I think this picture is important as well :)

We had a lovely evening at the Symposium and will definitely come again! After a long tiring day of work we were greeted by little Stella, the restaurants number one employee, with a wagging tail. She escorted us to our table and dropped by intermittently for some pets (did not beg for food at all, just for love). The food was delicious and made with really good quality ingredients - my partner ordered another bruschetta for dessert because the one we had as an appetiser was just that good… vegetarian options were also excellent. A small menu, but 2/3 mains were veg - I do love options. The wine recommended to us, a Chianti, was very tasty! All in all, a great time.

Update: we had a lovely dinner at Symposium more recently. Thanks :)

We’ve been to Symposium twice and the experience has been inconsistent for different reasons each time.
1st visit: before the pandemic. Food was okay. The salt level in the food was very variable, a bit high in the dishes I had.
2nd visit recently: Food was excellent but there was some confusion about our wine order. We ordered a bottle of the house white (which we did not get: the wait staff gave us a more expensive bottle compared to the price on the menu, without clarifying this). We were then told that they would pour out two glasses for us since the bottle was not chilled enough for serving. But at the end of the meal we were charged for the bottle and also the two additional glasses of wine, which is not what we wanted or ordered - even though we raised both of these issues with the waitresses. (The waitresses were lovely - but mistakes like these made the meal about £25+service more expensive than we intended.) We could have refused to pay the service charge but I felt that the hospitality industry needs customers. Will our third visit be error-free? It will be some time before we go back…
