Roux At 27

I took my engagement ring there for repair. I asked for it to be rhodium-plated whilst bring repaired. I returned to the shop and asked for both mine and my husband's wedding rings to also be rhodium-plated. Our wedding rings came back first and mine was imperfect. After I left the shop, I noticed it had a scratch on it and was not finished to a high standard. So I returned to the shop where they sent it off again. It was returned and perfectly finished. Then I received a call to say my engagement ring had been returned and was perfect. I took it away and noticed that under light at home, it had not been rhodium-plated and was too big. I returned again to be told 'oh yes! They must have over-looked it'. The lady measured the ring and told me it was still a size L - who was I to say otherwise? Unless my finger has dramatically shrunk. Then I returned for a final time and was told that the jewelers though it was actually a gold ring (despite instructions on the receipt to rhodium-plate it) and that was why they hadn't done it.
So, 7 trips later, I had my jewellrey back. Front-of-house customer service was good, but I would not recommend this place at all. These rings are so precious to me and were not treated as such. What a huge disappointment. Choose somewhere else to get your repairs done.

The gentleman who runs the shop was incredibly helpful and lovely, i was asking local businesses in portsmouth for any help with donating raffle prizes for our charity event for breast cancer, he didn't even hesitate and gave us a beautiful necklace.

Wanted a bespoke ring making for my partner for very personal reasons. Neil was incredibly sensitive and very helpful indeed, in his creative input and the choice of stones.

Nothing was too much trouble and he was friendly, courteous and highly professional. My partner and I were happy to have entrusted this work to the shop and would have no hesitation in thoroughly recommending them.

The ring was collected today and is absolutely beautiful and the advice given, in respect of the choice of stones, was spot on. It was worth every penny.

My partner arranged for me to have a bespoke ring made by Roux at 27. The ring was to commemorate my daughter so was very personal and special. I have never had anything made specifically for me so it was reassuring to have Neil talk us through the process and give us the benefit of his experience. Today I picked up the most beautiful ring. Neil has been wonderful throughout, he knew the story behind the ring and has been so respectful of that. Will definitely be back to Roux at 27!

Came in with a friend to scope out wedding bands. The man who served us was very sassy with us from the start and in particular when we asked to size her ring. Then asked if we knew our alphabet?- was that necessary? Continued to be very rude with us, didn’t listen to anything we had to say and seemed very uninterested in our custom. Took one look at us and decided we were time wasters? No excuse for being so rude! We left after only a couple mins in the shop. What’s wrong with females wanting to look at wedding bands? Such a shame.

Excellent service - we ordered a necklace and it arrived in plenty of time for my daughters birthday. We were advised on when the necklace would be available for collection
My daughter is delighted with it.
