Owen Smart Jewellers

We have used this jewellers on many occasions, I like the 'olde world ' feel of this shop. It sells a great variety (and quality) of jewellery. This shop will suit all purses, and all tastes, very good friendly service to.

Terrible service. Wanted payment to value items for sale and rude throughout our brief visit to this sorry establishment. We left and went to other jewellers who knew their trade better, who made offers three times above what was offered by this jeweller. Avoid.

Found a perfect ring for my wife here after trawling through other shops. Great customer service, and with a smile! Would recommend, and go again in the future.

Went in with two expensive items for a valuation. Wouldn't even look at them, before saying such things as the diamonds aren't very nice or someone might want it. Being a jeweller and gemmologist myself I just wanted a second opinion about restoration of a very large sapphire and he just told me to take them to auction. He said if he'd do me a valuation it would only be a couple of hundred quid on a item that would have a starting bid of no less than £10,000. I also needed someone local to do my repairs and valuations, but he's talked himself out of getting any of my future business. Very much got the feeling that because I have a northern accent not a local one he wanted me out of his shop. Treat all customers fairly and don't judge a book by it's cover. You don't know what your attitude could end up costing you.

What a gem of a shop.....beautifully decorated and presented diamond rings ....and great service too...well worth a visit

Went in to get some of my parents jewellery valued and what they would be interested in purchasing (for gold or to sell on) and the person was not interest and wouldn’t give me the time of day. Mentioned that the items would be better off in a charity shop for 50p.

I then took the same items to Northampton (Steffans) and got professional and welcomed service, and overall the items were worth over £3k!
