This is a lovely family-run business and the staff are very friendly and helpful; they do exactly what they say in their radio ad! I took my engagement ring to them in 2015 for repair and came away with a remodeled engagement AND eternity ring (pictured), which I was so thrilled with that I had them make me a plain white gold wedding band the following year. I took said rings in to be re-rhodium plated last week and they've come back looking brand new.
While I was there I inquired about anklets and was informed that I could have a bespoke one. I was advised which type of chain to use for strength and durability and left with a very reasonable quote. Just days later I got a call to say it was ready for collection, and I have to say that I'm delighted with it. The jewellery in-store is so beautiful and eye-catching that I departed with the anklet and two pairs silver hoop earrings!

2 days after being engaged my heirloom ring snapped in half! Through recommendations from other high street retailers and friends I took it to Carats who confirmed that, unfortunately due to the age and wear of the metal, it wasn’t fixable and that it would need to be remade. The ring I received back was the most fantastic replica of the original; beautifully restored, resized and shined for me. I cannot fault the workmanship - it was worth every penny! Took my necklace which my dog had broken to be repaired. The staff member was very helpful and provided many solutions at different costs to meet my needs. The repair was taken place there and then and i was left very happy with my repair! Great prices and good staff , thank you!

I originally went in to get my necklace repaired. This was done with no trouble. During one of my visits I spoke to Hayden to ask if a ring could be made for me. Hayden took the time to discuss my options. He got in rubies for me to look at and instantly when he saw my face he knew the original ones he had ordered in were not for me. He then arranged for other rubies for me to look at as he said 'do not go for second best as you will always look at it and say its not what you wanted' After many visits, and each time Hayden gave me as much time as I needed to look, think and decide I ordered my ring. This was an important piece of jewellery for me personally and of course because I have good taste lol, I went over my original budget but again no pressure, plenty of time to make the decision. Since I picked up my ring it has not been off my finger. I have decided to not think of the cost and hide it away in a box to come out on special occasions but to enjoy it for the special gift it was to me. Thank you Hayden and the staff at Carats

Recently visited Carats Ipswich because the back of my wife's watch had come off and could not be put back. Carats replaced the back while I waited and did it free of charge!! On previous visits to Carats I have always found the staff very friendly and helpful. I always go there for watch battery replacement or when in need of a watch repair.

My husband bought me some earrings as a birthday present couple weeks ago. He said lady who served him was very helpful with advice and choice.
I also went in Saturday for advice about my wedding ring I couldn't get off, and repairs to other bits of jewellery. They couldn't have been more helpful, and patient even when the shop became busy. Sent a watch off for free repair advice. A ring to be resized, cut my wedding ring off and helped advise me about using my pieces to design and make a new ring. I would recommend them and can't wait to get a new wedding band made with their help.

Excellent customer service. They listened, helped with my bracelet design, gave me time to make up my mind, gave good helpful advice regarding the gem stones. The end result 'perfect'.
