They didn't seem very organised and couldn't find some of the things we sent in with our dog (blanket and toys) did find them eventually. We used this kennel before and they were good, but I don't think we will be going back.

Family run business. Our dog who is 15 years old and almost completely deaf/blind had to stay here - her first time on her own in a kennel. She was well taken care of and was really happy when we picked her up. Usually when she visits friends when we go away she is very sulky for a few days after coming home. Not this time. She must have liked her visit and we would gladly have her stay over again.

I will not be using these kennels again! It was our JRT/Staffie's first time in kennels and we are not impressed!
When dropping our dog off we forgot to take his vaccination documents (we are responsible owners and he is always up to date with his vaccinations). I mentioned that we had forgotten them what with our pre holiday packing etc and was told that was fine no problem! Slightly worrying to say the least.
Also I specifically asked for my dog's antihistamine tablet to be given each morning....it was not given at all! When he returned home there was still a full packet of 30 and his ears were red inside due to the fact they had not been taken.
On returning home we realised that both my dog and his bed/ bedding absolutely stunk, and had to be washed, plus our dog had to have a bath.
In addition to this he came home with "Kennel Nose" which is apparently due to an anxiety response.
When trying to get any information about how our dog had been in kennels, the guy just gave minimal, non informative answers.
Overall left me feeling that these kennels are to be avoided in future!

I have been boarding my dog on a regular basis at Manston Kennels for 6 months now since my boisterous Husky was 6 months old. Pete and the team and so knowledgeable and friendly. I felt guilty at first about kennelling my boy but he comes home exhausted from all the excitement and a little better trained after each visit! The prices are great too. Would highly reccomend.

It was my first time using this cattery and kennels and I am very disappointed. Firstly I wasn’t allowed to actually see any of the cages/kennels, despite asking three times. Incidentally I didn’t know the area or have any recommendations but needed to book my 5 pets in due to a house move/relocation. All 5 were very smelly on collection and four were incredibly distressed. The cats reeked of urine as if their cattery hadn’t been cleaned daily and my dog just smelt filthy. This was a six day stay. Despite asking I have no idea if my dog got to enjoy time playing or walking with other dogs. I got the impression he was caged most of the time because as soon as we got home he was running about madly. Whereas on the occasional stay in other kennels he has always come home shattered! I did email to ask for updates and whilst I did get responses, they were perfunctory and really told me nothing. On arrival I got out the five vaccination records, and the chap said they weren’t needed. At that point I wish I could have walked away, but with a major relocation imminent I didn’t have time to secure somewhere else, and needed them all to be safe whilst so much upheaval was going on. Frankly just too many alarm bells and incidents where care was not as I’d expect/not as my pets deserve. I had read online reviews which seemed positive so I’m not sure why my experience was so poor. I’m baffled that vaccination records aren’t checked, appalling. I certainly will not be using again or recommending. It was £252 for 6 days of very inadequate care. I collected them 6 hours ago and the first thing I did was bathe every one of them. This was a really distressing stay for us all.

Our Otis loves staying here. He whines when he has to leave, which gives me piece of mind that he has a lovely time.
He’s had a few day stays and spent 9 days while we went on holiday.
Very caring and treat your dog like their own.
Accomadating even at the last minute.
