I hadaser surgery in both eyes here in 2012 (I think- a while a go now). I had the procedure and was sent home. I had one follow up appointment to get the lenses they'd sent me home in removed, where they told me I may have to continue with my steroid drops but to wait to hear from them via phone, when I didn't hear back I assumed it was okay to stop the drops as directed before.
A little over a month passed when I emailed them to make an appointment when they guy who called me back informed me that the Guildford clinic had closed down and if I wanted further follow up appointments I would have to travel to Reading, which is just too far for me.
I found that once they had my money they stopped caring for my wellbeing and recovery. My eyes are terrible now, I think my corneas are scarred and at night I see streaks coming from all lights, it makes driving impossible. I also have blurred vision and need glasses. If I could go back I would have never paid all that money to make my eyes worse off than before, when I had contacts. And to not even have received my follow up appointments whilst they were going into liquidation or after over they'd been brought out.
This all happened so quickly after I'd had my procedure and if I'd known there was even a chance they weren't going to be there to see me through the recovery process or even lass my details on to a clinic still operating for check ups, I would have never booked it in the first place.
