The Canterbury Launderette

Friendly and efficient service. We were in Canterbury on holiday last month. We had two bags of laundry to be washed and decided not to wait around and do them ourselves. We asked for them to be ready the next day but they were actually done within a few hours. Washed properly and nicely folded. The lady who served us couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. I'd definitely recommend this launderette.

This is a lovely launderette with amazingly friendly staff, fair pricing and a cosy atmosphere that just can't be beat.

It's perfectly impossible not to get caught up in an enjoyable, wholesome conversation with other customers or the owners while waiting for your clothes to be washed.

I would give 0 star if I could. The lady there was so rude and racist and not helpful at all. She really needs to be educated about how to deal with custemers. I wouldn't waist a penny there again. She really gave a bad impression about Canterbury. I highly don't recommend.👎👎

Great place very helpful, fully booked for service wash so had to do my own which means you have to hang about , nothing nearby.

£14 for a load of full service laundry. I dropped it off at 9am and picked up by 1pm. Use the time to tour the town and Cathedral 👍👍

I cannot explain how helpful and nice they were! As tourists making a quick stop and having lots of questions this place was amazing!!!

We were staying at a nearby AirBnB and wanted to do our laundry. I found the place via Google and decided to try it.
Washing and drying is a very straight forward process. Both the machines work on coins so try to come with your own coins. We did not have any coins with us but the helpful lady changed our cash to coins.
Washing is £5.50. Just dump your clothes in the machines, close the door, choose one of the preprogrammed option and insert the coins. The machine will start automatically. Takes around 30 to 40 minutes. You can either wait or come back later.
The dryer is the same story. Each £1 gives you 6 minutes of drying. I chose 30 minutes (£5) and we had our clothes nice and toasty.
They also have a service where you give your clothes to the laundry and they do everything. Prices would vary.

Living out of rucksacks, so launderettes are a necessity of life. The lady in this one was pleasant and helpful and efficient. There was even a ‘Beano’ comic to read, as a nostalgic pick-me-up while we waited. Thanks for making this particular chore a pleasant one.
