Stevenage Central Library

Very helpful staff. The upstairs area is all close with no access to that books. You can get 30 books which is great. One way sistem. Will recommend requiring the books online as it will be much quicker and they will be ready for you. Needed to pay 1 hour parking because it was very hard to see the books with the face mask one , as is required.
Will definitely book them online to be prepared for me next time . Perfect for spending time at home

Obsessive to the point of paranoia about “staying safe”, fear inducing notices still everywhere even to the ridiculous degree of not allowing some computers to be used. Unnecessarily terrifying the elderly and infirm to satisfy their gloating power trips. The library has become far less popular as it now has a very uncomfortable, cold atmosphere. Sadly its days are numbered and the employees don’t even realise they are bringing about its demise.

No other inspiring place than library.. specially for the kids.. it’s located at the heart of town Center which is very handy.. open on Sunday as well which can give you free parking

Stevenage Library is a great asset to the town, with a wide selection of books and other media, including CDs, videos and magazines.
They can also bring in books from outside or larger libraries if you need them.
The building and decor are rather dated and a bit rough round the edges but if it's just the books you're after, then it's definitely worth a trip.
On a final note, the machines at the exit for scanning books returned/borrowed are very effective: they can scan and process a whole pile of books in no time... amazing technology!

There are very convenient foot and cycle paths under many roundabouts for residents to reach POI, such as the library. Watch out for water splashing from the roundabouts above as cars are driving along.

Staff very friendly! Great services.
Only downside is I got a parking ticket when I returned to my car.
I thought this was the library car park but it is an UKPC car park.
So be warned.
I went there debt free now I owe £60
