I visited the library this afternoon and filled out a form requesting a book on Aboriginal Rainbow Serpent stories which I realise is a little unusual. The library is not open in the usual way and all requests have to be made using this system. I left my email address and was very happy to receive a message, later the same afternoon, letting me know that a book was ready to collect! Excellent service. Thank you.

I went to Stafford library to get some prints from my phone photo's to help with my work as I am a self employed artist, it's been bad enough that we have all struggled through lock down. The staff were not very friendly and also not abliging as I needed help using their computer to transfer my photo's from my phone. I had the most unwelcome connection from all the staff. I know that there is a pandemic about with corona but it does not stop people helping each other.
If that's the best they can be I think they should close their doors.
I will not bother with that library again, I came away very upset and angry, 2 of the staff's inperticula were very moody and very unpolite.

Some people just come into and watch a tv programme or listen to their music. I go in to do some important work and have to wait ages for a PC. I once went in and all everyone could hear was a woman laughing loudly at a tv programme she was watching. Very annoying when some are studying. I thought libraries were meant to be quiet places so that people could concentrate and read.

Spectacular quality from Stafford Library 0300 telephone service. Three beard-growing minutes listening to a prerecording of totally irrelevant waffle about coronavirus and buspasses before getting through to a gentleman who explains he can't actually help with anything and is solely there to "filter enquiries", but he will now put me through to Stafford Library proper. Then he hangs up on me. Mint.

A modern building with standard library shelving. Plenty of space to look for your favourite book. Some decent sitting places. Good range of books but missing a couple that I was looking for. If you want a decent library this is worth a visit.

Not so welcoming as before the Virus,. Also don't understand why they had to move some subjects around. And the website is not as useful as before.
