Recently registered with this GP. They don’t offer urgent appointments on the day so DON’T BOTHER!!! My previous GP offered urgent appointments on the day if you called early, but this one doesn’t. I called 111 and 111 called them and asked them to offer me an urgent appt, to which they told 111 i should call back at a certain time to book one. When i called the GP back, they said they don’t offer them (even after they told 111 they did!) and told me to call 111 again or go to urgent care- despite me telling them i am isolating due to covid.

I understand there’s a strain in the NHS right now but it feels as if the receptionists at this surgery literally just don’t want to give out appts and are willing to ask covid positive patients to go into urgent care. In addition, I had spoken to a doctor here before and they were incredibly dismissive of my concerns. I’m sure this isn’t reflective of all their doctors but it is a shame that I had such a poor experience with the one i was booked in for. I had to ask multiple times for a urine test, to at least get some sort of diagnosis. for some reason, the urine form stated it was a test for a UTI when none of my symptoms i had described to her correlated with a UTI???? The GP then lost my urine sample and has told me to go back to give them another one. Well, my symptoms have returned now and was not an ‘isolated incident’ like the GP doctor had persisted on. So disappointed with the services here. I’m already a massive hypochondriac and this GP only fuels that. Pls avoid unless you rly cannot find another GP close to your home.

I usually don’t write any reviews but I felt like this one is needed I went in for my b12 injections and a nurse named Lesley greeted me with a lovely smile. I explained I needed to book 6 appointments in a row weekly and Lesley made sure they was booked for me she took her time and made sure I was happy with the appointments I didn’t feel rushed and felt like she cared and listened to my needs definitely would recommend her if booking a nurse appointment at this GP

Had such a good experience here today! Staff were friendly and helpful, got an appointment with the ask app for the very next day.
The nurse I saw put me a such ease something I have never felt with a doctors surgery before !
Brilliant

Took a while to get through, but I was lucky to get a cancellation appointment and was seen very quickly. Very friendly and helpful staff & was also offered my flu jab while I was there. The walk in service for my COVID jab a few weeks ago was also very efficient.

Using a shared log-in so this has come up under my husband's name rather than mine - a 51yr old woman called Claire! We recently transferred to this practice after becoming completely fed up & driven to distraction by the terrible service & lack of apointments available at our old surgery - Pickford surgery. This practice was recommended by my friend and I have been nothing but impressed with every aspect since joining! Registration was dealt with very quickly and efficiently & since being enrolled, we have both received excellent communication texts inviting us for both our flu vaccinations and COVID boosters. The AskFirst App makes booking appointments very easy and I have been able to get appointments easily, within my required timeframe. I have been seen by Dr Rosie Asante and this evening, by a nurse called Lesley, and both have been friendly, efficient & knowledgeable and have provided service with a smile and made me feel really comfortable and at ease! Thank you! I am so happy that we made the move to this surgery and I cannot recommend it more highly.

I've been attending this medical practice all my life and have a good sense of history.
The main issues are largely due to admin, eConsult was a massive pain before they swapped to AskFirst, which is much better but still has flaws. The reception team can also be an issue, I think perhaps outdated equipment, and some are lovely but some make no effort to help you.
Unlike others, I believe the surgery does do urgent appointments but you have to call when they open at 8am, like most other GP Surgeries, otherwise you have to book a routine appointment.
Lead time for a normal appointment is 1.5-2 weeks. I'd been looking on Wednesday 26th to get an appointment and first dates available were 7th onwards. However, if there are cancellations you can also normally book these, I managed to book one for Thursday morning - unfortunately this was cancelled which was frustrating, but I then managed to book another for Friday morning which went really well today.

My daughter had her polio injection and flu vaccine here and was seen by Lesley. She was very friendly and gave helpful advice. She was also thorough and informative. We had a very good experience. Thank you Lesley.

If I could rate it lower I would! Absolutely horrible, I had tonsillitis so bad that my tonsils were bleeding constantly for 13 days and could not get an appointment for a week. Despite difficulties in actually getting a face to face appointment, the waiting room was completely empty with 3 to 4 reception staff. Which seemed quite peculiar as I wonder why it takes so long to be able to get an appointment.

When I finally did get seen I had to actively ask the gp to look at my throat. when he did he used his unsanitised personal phone! To me that does not scream professionalism. The doctor was rude and dismissive of my worries and concerns for my own health.

My mum has also had her own nightmare recently with health concerns. Again, gp very dismissive showing little concern or interest. She ended up seeking help at a&e, and has been there for a week with heart complications.

I have never left a bad review before, but feel it needs to be shared as it relates to people's health and well-being.
