South Park Medical Practice

I have been with the practice for 3 years now and have always praised them, even through the tribulation of covid!
Last night my 3 month old son was sent to Pembury on advice from 111 after deteriorating through the evening.
This evening, I recieved a text message from his lovely Doctor at South Park, through the practices online service and it has really reinforced how great the surgery is!
All the team have been wonderful at caring for our family, from reception who ensure we get triaged and get appointments as necessary, to the nurses who make the first set of jabs that little bit easier, and of course the lovely doctors who clearly do care!
I would highly recommend this surgery!!!

Dear Kate the Nurse, and the South Park Practice Team,

I just wanted to post a little (somewhat overdue) note to express my sincere thanks for Kate the nurse for looking after me so well over at the beginning of June when I came in several times to have the dressings on my burns changed and my burns treated/monitored.

She was kind, reassuring and made time for me during I’m sure what was an extremely pressured period.

I really appreciated it so please do pass on this note, and thanks to the whole team for helping to support me.

Impressively inefficient. Out of the two consultant appointment letters that have been sent to the practice, 100% have been lost. Follow up emails, phone calls and walk-in requests have also been "lost" or "mislaid". My last diagnosis was also vaguely ridiculous and I decided to seek private help. Generally, staff are friendly though and that's what the 2 stars are for.

Receptionists are rude, service is appalling, had to wait over a month for just a call back regarding mental health medication. Never on time.

Sadly there is no option for NO stars. This GP practice is the worst I have experienced! I have been requesting a medical report for 7+ months required for a critical illness cover insurance . Even after monthly reminder emails and calls, they still haven't been able to provide the report which resulted in me not having a critical illness cover insurance.
Extremely disappointed of the continues delays in taking action.

It’s a shame that people tend to only review when it’s negative - please let’s make a habit of using the review process to say positive things too!

I have an excellent relationship with this practice- be kind to the receptionists and they will be kind back they have only ever been lovely to me and I call a lot!

The doctors are excellent- attentive and a great emotional support! Big up to Dr Duncan who was working from home yesterday with Covid and still called me, this is called going above & beyond!

Not surprisingly they receive poor reviews as the receptionists are incredibly rude. She pretty much hung up on my face and could not provide any explanation of why they had offered vaccination to people other than vulnerable as she said on the phone. I understand if that is the protocol but rudeness is not necessary. We are all busy but this does not call for being impolite and churlish as she was

Rude and unhelpful staff, they change the information they give you based on what's most convenient for them. The phone line is hopeless, and they are very rude, and they seem to take a two hour lunch every day (both receptionists at the same time), not answering phones between 12:30 and 14:30. I've been a patient here for 3 years and every interaction I have confirms their rude reputation. Undoubtedly the worst experience I've had with the NHS ever. However, the doctors seem great.
