The unprofessional receptionist let's the surgery down, didn't catch a name. After waiting 20 minutes to get through I get a woman more interested in arguing and being difficult than helping. People answering the phone should have a better level of customer service.

Where to start. Prescription errors which cause unnecessary stress. Try getting your ears syringed! Can’t access your GP of choice when they have been the one dealing with a very rare and complicated condition you have had for several years. You can try the usual “call at eight” followed by “call at two”. With every other poor soul trying to get through at the same time! A real lottery which receptionist you get. They rate from acceptable to appalling. I am going to the surgery this afternoon to point out that a drug I have requested on a repeat prescription has been rejected. Apparently it was last issued on 30 September. Today is the 28 September. Wish me luck!

Appalling service. Every month I need to have a battle with the receptionist to get my prescription on time, I had to call multiple times to chase it up and I always end up running out of medication. If you asked for your medication too early then you have ordered too early. Every month my anxiety goes off the roof, causing me lack of sleep for a couple of days. Receptionist treat me like I am dumb. So unprofessional, out of touch with people's needs and cero awareness of disabilities. Feeling extremely frustrated and helpless, unacceptable service! Needs to improve urgently.

1. Review left May 2021. I am shocked at some of the negative reviews here. I used the e-consult facility last week for the first time and Dr Fahey responded promptly in her usual sympathetic and professional way. I believe I have seen (and been extremely happy with) all doctors and all nurses at the New Dover Road Surgery over the past nine years. I live alone and I have been isolated for almost a year, with various medical conditions. The practice, like all practices these COVID days, is under extreme pressure but I know everyone there, doctors, nurses and receptionists are doing their very best to look after patients' needs. They cannot work miracles. Those who complain may not have lived in countries where health care is not available to all. I am extremely grateful to the New Dover Road Surgery.!. 11 May '20 I am adding to a review left last year. Today I had a 2pm appointment with Nurse Rose. I was queuing to check in but the person in front of me, who had an appointment, refused to give her name to the receptionist. She said she was unwell and found it hard to breathe yet she refused to wear a mask or a visor. She falsely accused the receptionist of shouting at her and bullying and said she would make a complaint.

My last review said how surprised I was to see negative remarks here. This is just to thank Rose for the time and care she took in surgery today. She then took the trouble to telephone me at home with additional information. THANK YOU, Rose and all nurses, and thanks to all the other staff - doctors, reception and admin - for their care.

Obnoxious and unhelpful receptionists. They abuse their positions and try and give medical opinions over the telephone. Lucy and Elisabeth are Both rude and prevent you booking an appointment to see a Dr. I have been with this surgery for 30 years and it has gone downhill dramatically in the past 3 years! There are a few Doctors that are very good if you can get past the barriers! This week I have changed surgery after again being denied an appointment with a Dr with an allergy to heart medication.

Shocking receptionist. I called them, made an appointment only to get there for the ride receptionist to say she hadn’t spoken to me at all! Even when she was shown the phone record, and the time spent on the phone she denied any recollection of even speaking to me. So unhelpful, didn’t offer another option. Now sitting at Estuary View waiting to be seen. The most appealing service looking at the rest of the reviews it would appear I’m not the only unfortunate person to experience this service.
