The Allan Practice

I have had two appointments in the last year, both by phone, for my 2/3 year old and in both cases the doctor has called me back very promptly, identified the issue and advised accordingly. In the most recent case, I called at 3:45, got a callback at 4:45 and had the prescribed medication in my hand by 5:15, which I was very impressed with (thank you Dr Balogun-Lynch). It can be difficult to get through on the phone; I have found PatientAccess, including the messaging function, works OK. Wait times for face-to-face appointments have been long when I have tried to book them, but phone appointments have worked well for us.

This is an exceptional practice. The staff are all professional, friendly and helpful. Doctors and nurses are caring, compassionate and knowledgable . They offer telephone and face to face appointments and myself and my family have never had a problem finding an appointment , we've been seen immediately when we had an emergency and the doctor phoned to check on my husband after he was discharged. Having personal lists means the doctors really know their patients and there is continuity in your care, the secretaries work with the doctors so that queries and referrals are promptly completed .

The Allan Practice is brilliant. As a first time Mum, they have been amazing through every step of my journey. From a tricky pregnancy through to advising me on my precious newborn and postnatal care, Dr Josh Balogun-Lynch has been incredible. He really cares about his patients and always put my mind at ease and goes above and beyond to help you. His secretaries are also an absolute pleasure to deal with - they are always kind and friendly. Thank you!

As new residents in Chalfont St Peter we were quite anxious about registering with a new doctor. The Allan Practice was recommended to us and I had my first appointment with Dr Harini on Monday. This has been my local practice for nearly 30 years now and I really cannot fault the service it provides. Despite the pressures on the NHS I can get an appt ( usually telephone) quickly. Ive recently been in hospital and the support from my GP ( Dr Josh) has been outstanding. He listens, discusses any concerns I may have openly and that gives me great confidence. I am very happy with the services the Allan Practice provides and the access I have to them. Everybody I've dealt with has been helpful,understanding and professional.

The Allan Practice is the best I’ve found since leaving a West Sussex practice 12 years ago. It had a Pharmacy the profits from which they used to enhance patient services while reducing GP’s hours. A practice in Northwood repeatedly missed the cause of my wife’s painful neck until an Osteopath on Lanzarote insisted that she be scanned to determine the cause of her issue - cancer metastatic- the Allan Practice are exceedingly thorough at diagnosis and offer by comparison with most NHS GP Surgeries relatively rapid appointments a balanced mix of secure messaging, telephone and face to face appointments along with very capable medically trained Asthma nurses and a Diabetes Review specialist, along with other similar nurse based services. They’re augmented by effective local pharmacies who generally offer a good service, and very fine phlebotomists nearby. I just wish the Allan Practice was permitted to have its own Pharmacy to generate profits to enhance patient services even further and enable the staff to work shorter hours.

With all the negative press around GP surgery's I think we are extremely fortunate to have the Allen practice. My wife and I have found the staff to be very friendly and helpful, easy to make telephone consultations and face to face if required. Having an appointed doctor supported by a secretary results in good communication and a clear understanding of their patients needs.

The care I have received recently from The Allan Practice has been excellent. The nursing team have been very caring and have taken time to support and help me. One nurse in particular has given exceptional care and nothing is too much trouble for her. I would not hesitate in recommending The Allan Practice.
