I had paid for a cab to get there as daughter felt to poorly for bus and it was a complete waste.reception did not apologise just said go to urgent care.
On top of that doctor then rang at 8.45 in the evening when I was putting my daughter to bed and missed the call.
Appalli g behavior.Apalling service
My daughter now had severe temperature still and has an infection on her skin.
Even though I was clear that I had fully read a plethora of information online, yet I still had questions that I wanted to discuss with a doctor; had an appointment been provided my daughter’s suffering could have been avoided.
I was told by a receptionist that even if an appointment was offered, the wait would be a few weeks as they are short staffed.
Absolutely despicable and I will be making a formal complaint with the care quality commission as this is clearly clinical negligence.
We have had nothing but issues with every single appointment, repeat prescription and trying to contact the surgery is a farce. It was bad enough pre-Covid but since with 'total triage' approach it has become almost impossible to see an over-paid Doctor.
Check out their website - 27 admin staff (albeit some be may part-time) - but you can't get through, no-one's overly helpful and everything you ask is an issue and they will not or cannot do.
Dr Deshmukh has just 'texted' a response to my husband - who has a serious, life threatening condition, and told him that he has enough medication on his repeat prescription. What he has totally failed to understand or acknowledge is that his dosages can change, and when he has his next hospital appointment, he will have run out of the medication, and have to wait for a repeat to get to the Pharmacy, and then collect - potentially meaning he has no medication for a couple of days. God forbid anything happens to him during those days because I would be making sure Dr Deshmukh is struck off for medical negligence, and I would be suing him.
Having suffered with this medical condition for nearly 20 years, and knowing how his medication needs fluctuate, I am appalled that (as part of a money saving exercise we suspect), the surgery will not provide my husband with a range of the dosages of warfarin available, and would prefer him to run out and risk dying, rather than use a more sensible, patient centred approach and actually take the time to speak to him (we'd already been told there were no appointments available), understand the situation and work to resolve it. Looking at a piece of paper that says 11mg and providing just enough to cover the days until his next hospital appointment is shocking - especially if the dosage changes, then he wouldn't have enough, couldn't make the dosage up correct because he's only got 5mg & 1mg tablets, and would then have to pay for yet another prescription. 20 years of paying for prescriptions and now they want to make it so that it becomes even more expensive to suffer a long term illness.
Shocked to the core by a Dr and a Practice which put money before patient care at every opportunity. Those who work there should hang their heads in shame at the 'Service' they provide as part of the NHS.
WE WILL BE LEAVING THIS PRACTICE - THE DAY CANNOT COME SOON ENOUGH FOR OUR FAMILY TO NOT HAVE TO ENDURE SUCH UNCARING AND UNPROFESSIONAL MEDICAL SUPPORT.
