After waiting a week for an appointment, you have to wait 20/30mins after your booked appointment time to be called in by the so called "Doctor"
If you are very unlucky you will be seen my the female doctor who has no manners whatsoever. Extremely rude and patronising attitude. I do know the difference between a paper cut and eczema clear she does not.
I will be changing my surgery today.
There is one positive that I will add is that the receptionist from Europe is absolutely fabulous. Shes helpful, patient and has excellent people skills.
I called to get help with an infection and had to wait around 45mins before speaking to someone. Although I had a doctor call me back and prescribe me medicine, I specifically asked for a sicknote because I had already been off work and needed solid proof that I was unfit to return to work for at least another week. The doctor kept saying I needed to inform this to HR at my workplace which, to me, made no sense at all since a sicknote has to come from a doctor. The infection I have is a very painful one, it had me bed bound for 3 days, I'm unable to walk comfortably and I take ages to sit down. My emotions were already high from the pain but the lack of understanding from the staff including the doctor really had me upset and I've been in tears for the entire day. They kept insisting the doctors were too busy to write a note and that I needed to wait the following week to get one. It was so frustrating to hear this because it takes no more than 10mins to write a simple letter and sign it. Plenty of people get a doctors note on the day of their appointment, this is not unheard of and they don't need to wait till the beginning of a new week to recieve it. I must've called the practice 5 or 6 times desperately asking if the doctor can give me a note and each time the receptionists kept turning me down.
Once I recover from this infection, I plan to change GPs as quickly as I can. It's a shame because this practice is a 2 minute walk from my house but this experience has really shown me that its not worth it. I am never putting myself under this amount of stress again.
The receptionist is not helpful at all. They don’t know what they are doing at all. Extremely poor service.
