I shall be making a formal complaint regarding the receptionist that took my call today. Rude, arrogant and unhelpful. An absolute disgrace. On the contrary, one particular Nurse Practitioner is excellent and that is the only reason I have stayed at the surgery. After today however I may just be forced to register elsewhere.

Excellent service from Sidcup medical Centre regarding my recent debilitating illness. Dr Karkare was efficient, kind and made me feel valued as a patient. I had a very thorough investigation into my condition by the Doctors Assistant and Sharon, the receptionist was friendly and attentive. Thank you 🙏

I Have been a patient for 25 Plus years , I don't use it much but on the few of occasions I have , Admin & tests have taken so Long (due to things now being moved to different areas in the practice after the merger)! Another thing you can now only input e consults when the Doctors are actually open - not very useful for those that work !

Did an e-consult for my daughter as she has chicken pox. Uploaded photos twice, had 4 phone calls from reception team asking questions that I’d already included in the e-consult. After 2 days of waiting to hear back, I was told that the doctor on duty had refused an appointment and suggested I read online, and head to the pharmacy or A&E (so I could pass on the virus to others!?). Spoke to the complaints manager, truly the most unprofessional person I have ever encountered; she was happy to dish out medical advice whilst not being trained medically, and confirmed no appointment would be given and eventually put the phone down.
My daughter now had severe temperature still and has an infection on her skin.
Even though I was clear that I had fully read a plethora of information online, yet I still had questions that I wanted to discuss with a doctor; had an appointment been provided my daughter’s suffering could have been avoided.
I was told by a receptionist that even if an appointment was offered, the wait would be a few weeks as they are short staffed.
Absolutely despicable and I will be making a formal complaint to the care quality commissioning as this is clearly clinical negligence.

Appalling. Needed a simple urine test for a specific condition. Spoke to I dont know how many people including an appointment to make an appointment to receive results 4 months later..... and they havnt even tested for the thing that I needed. The doctor on the phone isnt even anything to do with them and when ever you speak to someone they want to do an online consultation to make an appointment to maybe speak to someone who might know something. The fact this practice is responsible for patients is both shocking and terrifying.

Absolutely disgusting completed an econsult form 8am Wednesday morning as feeling unwell explained on form last time I had same symptoms it ended up being pneumonia. Heard nothing till ,6.35pm Wednesday night to be told go to Urgent Care as have no appointments till next Monday!!! So out of all the surgery's not one appointment till then. Amazing that if I pay for the service (go private) I will get seen straight away !!!!!!

When you wait a week for a face 2 face follow up appt then you receive a text the day before telling you it's now a call and then you don't get a call!!! When you ring the surgery to be told it's not their fault it's the automated service and then you get another appt in 11 days time!!! Meanwhile........

All they ever say is go to A&E- for every basic non urgent ailment.

Do GPs work any more? The pandemic is over stop palming us off to an already over stretched NHS Hospital system.

Telephone staff rude and unhelpful.
