I was a little scared to go here after reading the reviews of previous patients here. But I had a very pleasant surprise. Definitely every situation is different and I obviously don’t know all the doctors or staff. Having said that I’m happy with my experience.

Really nice staff, very helpful. Doctors also really nice. Appointments are given fairly quick for a public health office (in my opinion) they gave appointments with a GO for the same day or even the next day. Very clean and new building.

One observation and probably with the whole institution is that the speed in which they refer you to a specialist could be faster (given that sometimes a GP won’t know all the details/answers for certain things).

Overall im felling grateful and happy with the NHS and this medical centre.

Not very happy at this doctors at all. They don't seem to want to be bothered with you and found them very unsupportive when you need the help the most. Send emails and said they didn't receive them and had to keep chasing them all the time to get anywhere. Awful service I have experienced over the years.How anyone can be happy with the service I will never understand! Rude receptionist also who needs to get some people skills and manners or she should not be in that job without them.

Absolutely amazed And shocked
After having this practice As our doctors for the last 25-years
over the last 4 daysTo be told 3 Different things by the receptionist and to told that i was Lying And all we need is a medical check
For fostering some thing that we have done for the last 15 years
(Apparently they do not do any kind of health report )According to the receptionist
this is some thing that they will be payed for
Told we have to go private but the they have all of are records

I’ve been with Wellington Medical Centre for 20 years and have always been given outstanding service. The Patient Service Advisors have always been very helpful, especially very recently when I’ve had to phone several times. They have done everything they possibly can, and more, to help me and make sure that I got the help I needed. I feel my health is in good hands with all the staff. Thank you to all of you for all that you have done to help me.

We were visiting my parents in Wellington in October when my daughter became ill. The Practice were amazing from start to finish, from the helpful lady on the phone, to Dr Dunn who saw my daughter. We had fantastic care, many many thanks.

I've personally not had a problem with the practice before covid and I have been a patient since I was 13 (when they had the old surgery practice) but this year has been horrendous for me, I asked for an early contraceptive implant change in August 2022 due to having terrible acne, after about a 2.5 year mark the hormones start to wear down naturally. I asked all throughout September, chasing the nurses on the phone, to arrange an appointment. I was FINALLY contacted by the nurse who said that as I was due in December, she would try to book an appointment for me as soon as she could however she was 'busy'. I phoned again last week being promised I would get a call back within a few days and still nothing. I phoned yesterday and was told the nurse was on holiday. My implant runs out on the 21/12 and I'm writing this review on the 14/12, still with no appointment, no contact being made to me even though I have been asking for 6months! This is a contraceptive, not something that should be taken lightly.

I honestly am baffled, clearly extremely under staffed, and don't want to look after long-term patients. I will be giving them a week until I take my complaint to the ombudsman.

**Update** its now the 20/12, my implant runs out tomorrow and I still haven't received a call back.

Really professional and caring practice. I've seen several doctors here but Dr Giffiths and Dr Moss stand out for me as I really do feel that I'm in safe hands if I am ever unwell. The reception staff have always been really kind and helpful and I think this makes a huge difference being the first point of contact. The online messaging service has been a godsend for me as its so easy and prevents unnecessary visits. All on all, I feel they all deserve praise for being a great practice.

They are doing an amazing job considering the difficult circumstances. All the doctors I spoke to (Dr Alathari and Dr Moss), the nurses and the lovely ladies at the reception were very compassionate, kind and extremely helpful and they always tried to solve my issues as soon as possible. Thank you💙
