As a carer I was on the front line along with hospitals and supermarkets. Dr's surgeries should equally have been available and the telephone service needs to stop. More people are going to A&E wasting their time because surgery's lack appointments and care.
I don't understand how dr's can be so busy when no one can get an appointment to see them.
I have had three phone calls which I have missed and when redialing they are unable to fit me in, today I got on the emergency call list and no one called.
Needless to say I am fed up and disgusted with the customer service. So many people are suffering.
New reception staff are rude, abrupt and dismissive and advise you to go to a local pharmacy call 111 or attend other local health centres. As far as I'm concerned they are putting unnecessary pressure on other parts of the NHS so disgusted with the service that wesgate locals receive
The one time I saw a doctor she said I would take the advice over the health care assistance than her own when it comes to babies and breast feeding.
I've gone to the surgery several times and it appears the nurses mostly see the patients. Thankfully the nurses are pleasant to talk to.
It's been almost five years with the surgery and I would still say they need improvements. Every time I send an email I have to follow up for a response. Two of those times was a request for prescription and I informed the request had gone to the chemist serval days ago but they cannot seem to send a quick reply saying your request has been approved.
I've requested medical note to travel and have been essential refused because I'm pregnant and they do as little as possible with pregnant people.
Only when I need a vaccination would I say the surgery is great.
Many Thanks
