Very poor service by all aspects of the surgery. Negligent behaviour from doctors who dont look at test results properly without prescribing medication and other staff just in general treat patients like it is a privilege to be seen by a doctor. For example it took 9 months for the surgery to register my wife and children as our details were left "on the side". In any other profession a huge gdpr fine could be laid at their door. Very disappointing

Doctors I have spoken to have been awful. My issues across time haven't been helped at all. Test results are being relayed to me incorrectly by doctors. 'Normal' however turns out they were abnormal. (Shockingly another review has mentioned this!) Worst surgery I have been with.

Could not be worse! They never answer the phone beyond 9am, and if you ever do manage to get through, they are simply rude and completely unhelpful. They always claim not to have any appointments available for as much as three weeks - I asked if I had to make an appointment to be ill!

The only two Doctors they had there that were any good have both retired, and the one I saw recently actually GOOGLED my symptoms in front of me. He obviously had less clue than I did!

They are disorganised and completely inefficient - they have lots of "administrative" staff, but none of them actually does any work. When I was last there, I watched them through the window of their office - making tea, chatting amongst themselves, reading "Hello", and getting themselves fatter than most of them already are by eating endless biscuits and cakes!

This shambles of a joke of a surgery needs to be closed down before they kill any more patients. They are an unmitigated disaster, and any complaints just get filed in the rubbish bin, They are simply not in the slightest interested in the health of the poor unfortunates who have the bad luck to live in their catchment area.

I have given them 1 star - only because a zero rating is impossible on this system!

Awful. Avoid. Shocking. Trying to find another practice for me and my family. I have been with this practice since I moved to the area in 2011, when Dr Bushaway used to be there. She was amazing, as were some of her colleagues. Getting an appointment wasn't the task it is now, the reception team have never been particularly friendly or approachable (but so much better than now), you were treated with respect by the GPs, listened to and helped. Now is the absolute complete opposite. I only contact the surgery when completely, when I consider that I really do need treatment. So they don't like phone calls, and you have to go through the online process to elaborate and share photographs. Then you might get a call out. A few months back I had the most awful infection in my finger but they wouldn't issue antibiotics. I had to plead and beg them as the infection was tracking up my arm. But they said it didn't look that serious - they would not take a look in person! So many scenarios such as these during the past few years. Three weeks ago I was admitted to hospital with Sepsis, and have only been out of hospital one week. I survived this, but certainly not down to Pinewood Surgery or 999 ambulance service. I rang the surgery, with severe abdominal pain and was met with the usual officious, unfriendly stern tone of one of the receptionists (who appear to know nothing of sensitivity or care). While I had been waiting for my call to be answered, their answerphone message says something like 'do you really need to be calling us' (recorded by the most unfriendly and officious-toned person). I got a call back from the GP who asked if I could make it to the surgery! Really! She then said she would get the home team out to me. Three hours and thirty minutes later (yes, 210 minutes later) I got a call back from her saying that there was no home team who could visit me and that I should call 999. I called 999 only to be told that I would receive a call to assess my situation within 240 minutes. Realising that I was now in grave danger, stuck in bed immobile, and slipping in and out of being with it I called my neighbour. Thankfully they answered, got me straight to A&E whereupon the emergency team did their amazing stuff and I was admitted. My GP and surgery probably don't even have a clue that I was in hospital, or even care. I could still be in bed, dead, laying waiting for someone to help me. Save yourself. Save your family and friends. Keep away from Pinewood Surgery.

Awful experience
Refuse to give appointments so I had to go to a&e
Given a prescription and referral from a&e and told to get my repeat from my surgery, when I was time for my repeat they refused it and then changed my inhaler brand back to the brand I was taken off years ago due to it not working!! Still no pain meds which I am meant to be on until my mri at the hospital
Very rude patronising young receptionist and the fact everything has to be done through my GP is awful
Now having to return to a&e just to get my prescription sorted as they are completely incompetent to look after people I wouldn’t even let them look after a gold fish!
Awful awful surgery
I would not even give them one star!

Just wanted to say thanks to Karen for her help. I’ve got to say the online service (admittedly for us young ones who are able to use it ….53 lol) works so well. I had a hand injury and was contacted within 2 hours having filled in the online form on 2 occasions, on the second time I was given an appointment and referred to Ipswich hospital who were also excellent.
