Torkard Hill Medical Centre

I have been at this practice for about 8 years. I have received excellent service in this time. When I have needed an urgent appointment I have always been seen/telephoned and sorted quickly. Since having my son a year ago I have used this practice more regularly, for both of us, and they have been honestly brilliant and reassuring. Dr Henderson went above and beyond with her care towards us and Dr Dalton was very thorough and caring. Amy, the nurse that recently did the vaccinations was really friendly, during what was a difficult appointment for both of us! But, everyone that we have seen has treated us well and the reception staff are always friendly and welcoming. Thank you for looking after us :)

Wow, Dr eneel is an amazing doctor. 1st time seeing him as I'm a new patient. But he gave me a full examination. BP, checked my eye site, bloods and actually listened to me. Thanks so much x

I must leave a review after I phoned for an appointment. The receptionist staff are and have always been very good to me . They are polite and very helpful. When asked what the problem was ,( they are not being nosey,they are there to help you. ) .I had a dr who phoned me back within 15 mins ,gave me an appointment 3 hrs later . All these Dr's are amazing. Receptionist are just as good . Being polite to staff does not cost anything. I give everyone at this practice 5 stars. Thank you very much.

I cannot fault anyone at Torkard from the Doctors, nurses, receptionists and anyone else I have had to get in touch with, I have always been treated by friendly and helpful people, I would recommend this surgery to everyone.

Absolutely ridiculous that the lines are super busy at bang on 8:30. Not only that, you can no longer hang on, your call is actually cut off. I am now seriously considering changing practices

Took 4 attempts to get through on the phone, including trying the urgent line (don't bother, it just states they can't pick up this line).
Got to appointment to find the doctor was running late - screen said 20 mins, actually 30 and the lady before me has checked in and then was told it hadn't picked her up so she'd been there 40mins. Got a prescription to be told by the pharmacy this hasn't been sent through and to go back to the reception as someone els e waitress over an hour. Reception printed it but then, when I went back to the pharmacy, they told me they were out of the medication. They sent me back to the reception who said it may take 30mins could take an hour but she wasn't sure when they'd get her medication. Told me I could go home and await a call but last time I did this, they called just before they closed
The medication needed is for a 1 year olds antibiotics.
Really saddened by this as they've been great in the past

Dr Collins was absolutely magnificent so professional best doctor I have ever seen 👍 so happy with the service. The NHS and doctor surgeries are so busy right now I feel a lot of people take the nhs for granted and are quick to complain and don’t understand the demand and pressure they are under. I was very happy with the service I received and it is very much appreciated. Thank you 😊 x
