Haven't been able to get a face to face appointment in over two years. Phone lines are always completely clogged up. I'm writing this while on hold now. All I need is a letter signed. There's no online booking system or email for general queries (like needing medical records signed by a gp for work), emergency and routine appointments are treated the same (first come first served, which is ridiculous in itself) so it's entirely pot luck on the day you call. Someone must be getting seen but I have no idea who or how. It is a good thing I don't have any medical conditions because there's no way you'd get any treatment!

Absolute disgusting phone manner from receptionist. Getting an appointment is virtually impossible. On hold for approximately an hour seems to be the norm.
While calling for an appointment for my child I was told to go elsewhere and had the call hung up whilst I still had queries to ask. After an hour on hold and no chance of getting through again today, what terrible service.

Without prejudice, genuinely surprised by others who have had a poor experience at Sandgate Road. My family and I have never received anything but efficient and compassionate service. Anything contrary to this, I am confident, is down to the nature of the industry and indicative of the huge task our practices are faced with up and down the country.

Spoke with a receptionist called Jenny. I understand they are understaffed and busy but she was rude from the offset and would not stop interrupting me. When I tried to explain that I was having difficulty explaining what I wanted she accused me of shouting. Which I was most definitely not. It seems to me that she was using this tactic in order to make me lose my temper so she could end the call. I would not give her the satisfaction. Am very upset at the way I was treated. Would leave the surgery if I had the option.

can't book an appointment, at 8:02 in the morning (when phone lines open at 8) are all appointments for the day booked up. It happened now second day on the row. I have been going to William Harvey hospital with every problem instead of them since covid started because it is almost impossible to get to see by a doctor at this surgery. How can a system be so poor?!

My husband rang this morning twice and his call was hung up on the call handler was a male and my husband rang twice around 12pm. He has been prescribed a very strong drug and is having a very bad reaction. This service is absolutely disgusting

I must say after reading some really horrible reviews, I’ve never personally had any issues with this surgery. I think any surgery you’re registered with in these tough times, they’re all the same. All the receptionists have always greeted me kindly and with a smile (if I go to the practice). The receptionists really do go through a lot and they should get a bit more respect. I wouldn’t change surgeries unless I really had to!
