A very friendly and helpful female Doctor I saw. I managed to get an urgent appointment next day ( cancellation). Took her time with me. Always manage to get through on the phone. I believe there are two female Doctors here both really good and nice. I like that you check in on screen but some hand gel should be next to it to avoid germs spreading further. Overall happy with the service here. The nurse was very nice too when I saw her .

Great friendly helpful receptionists.As always.
But this afternoon I had cause to need an urgent appointment with a doctor for my very poorly husband. He was put on a triaged list where a doctor telephoned him assessed him over the phone and offered him an appointment this afternoon. The doctor needed to call the paramedics for my husband and he was taken to hospital. Excellent doctor who was friendly kind and caring to us both. A BIG Thank you.

This was my surgery for nearly 16 years and I have now moved away. I would not have realized how bad Oakfield surgery was unless I had been treated by a surgery where patient care is at the core of the operation.
The Nursing staff at Oakfield are great, but the Doctors are appalling. There is no professionalism. For instance they won't provide you with information about test results unless you constantly call them. The only give continuity of care if they think they have messed up and you might sue. They're first recourse is to blame you - for instance giving me the wrong repeat prescription which would have meant a dangerous double dose of medication would have been administered, apparently that was my fault.
Dismissing symptoms and then writing you letters about your conduct.
Finally this is the surgery that sent someone home with the advice to take aspirin - the patient died that afternoon from a heart attack.
Advice - avoid at all costs.

With all medical services under serious pressure the last number of years, Oakfield Surgery have continued to provide excellent service. We feel very lucky to be registered with both Dr. Zaib and Chakraborty.

Rude reception staff, referrals ignored, the practice manager is always “too busy”. Awful surgery

Cannot fault service received. From original episode to date, I have received the best possible service from the practice. The service has, on all occasions, been proactive, being kept up to date with tests and action to be taken when necessary. Very reassuring.

I have only been with this Surgery for a couple of years but have to say that I have always been treated with courtesy and respect and kindness from all the staff I've met or spoken to by phone as well as a prompt call back from GP when necessary. Well done Oakfield and a big Thank You from a grateful patient.
