I have only been with the surgery for a short while but am shocked with the way things are here.
The system doesn't work. Can never get through on the phone, got put on hold, on the ring back service for 8 minutes so gave up.
Prescription service is totally messed up too. Thought it was just me but while sat in the waiting room almost all people going to reception had issues with their prescription. Why does it take up to 5 days or more to process the prescription at the surgery?
I too was asked by the doctor to make a follow up appointment to see her. Took me 3 weeks to finally get one.
The reception system is terrible at times as the receptionist has to deal with all enquiries and disappears to sort them out, meaning having to wait in an ever increasing que of which some people have missed appointments due to not being able to book in via the self book in not working for them.
The only good bit i have experienced is Dr Reagan, who has been very good on the 3 occasions I have been in to see her.
I really do think there needs to be a review of the way things are run.

Bridget Shortland, whom I believe is the new director of this surgery, has been amazing in helping resolve issues at hand and from a third party viewing, I can see obviously the clear and impressive improvements she is making to the surgery despite the hard times we are in today. Furthermore, the team here who I have spoken to and have assisted me in resolving issues in hand have been polite, patient and helpful - though I do not take trips to the doctors often, I can see the mass improvement of this place and look forward to see where it will be taken in the future!

Just moved in and read reviews with concern. But my experience has proved all the negative comments completely wrong. Registration/transfer of my files was a doddle. Quick and efficient initial phone consult easily booked and completed as were blood tests. Everyone was friendly, efficient and highly professional. The medical centre has my gratitude.

My grandad is a patient here and he has advanced dementia, I called reception once on his behalf and they snapped at me straight away and the lady had a really bad attitude towards me.

Also had a GP follow up with my grandad (a day later than was anticipated) after I had called 111 on his behalf and she didn't state who she was, just said to me 'what's the problem?'
In my experience and from my grandmother's previous feedback to me, this surgery is truly unprofessional and suffers from a severe lack of patient care and bedside manner.

Ryalls Park Medical Centre shouldnt even get a 1 star, has to be the worst doctor practice in somerset or maybe even south west. Absolute disgrace, they might aswell shut down permanently. Never do anything they say they are going to do, waiting 20+ minutes as "caller number 1 in the que" someone answers then hangs up before can even say hello. Over 9 months ago removed my prescription of esomeprazole "mistake their end" and every month they it will be sorted this month it will be back on the system. My daughter has been waiting 3 months for a verdict on a to nail sample and they have been pretty much no help with that either. If your looking to be seen to and helped for pain, sicknesses etc I highly recomend going elsewhere

My daughter had viral fever and the cough lasted for 2 weeks . I took her to the doctors and they said she got viral bronchitis and it resolves in 3 weeks and if no better bring her back the 4th week. My daughter was coughing the whole night and vomiting aswell . I tried all the home remedies. Nothing working. So i took her to the doctors again on the 4th week they said due to pandemic people’s immunity gone lower so the cough can last up to 10 weeks. 10 weeks what sort of a number is this ??? My daughter is missing school aswell.

Very poor GP practice, I have been trying to get health query for myself sorted since AUG 2020. They take ages to response on phone and online, so I ended up giving up. But My mother who is also registered here and very poorly has been waiting 3 weeks to speak with a doctor even though her blood results are ready from a week ago and another they wanted was performed yesterday morning and results were ready same afternoon. Hoping now that they are under new management from April 1 2021. I thought things would be good but as I went to log new query got a message saying Ryalls Park are not taking online requests. Not sure its because of weekend still patient should be able to log queries so it xan be picked up Monday morning first thing.

I don't understand the point of them having a GP app that they refuse to use and make you call anyway. I use the app as I cannot wait on the phone as I work the same hours that they are open it's not like you can get straight through when you do call. They also don't listen on reception, down to them making me an appointment but didn't put even my name or details against the appointment so the nurse was unsure if the appointment was for me. I have only just moved to the area and I am VERY disappointed. My last doctor's used the app so well and it ran even smoother than before. No wonder there is talks of closing this site down.
