The team are under so much stress that they seem unable to help and support those who are in desperate need. The GPs do not understand the wider NHS system and advised incorrectly how to get help. Inpatient and outpatient referrals handled by different trusts as chosen by the surgery for budget reasons makes for added admin and waiting times for patients and families, as even the NHS staff at hospitals and community teams have no idea why any GP surgery would do this! Prescriptions not read properly and incorrectly labelled - could have been very dangerous. A few angels here, but are let down by the system and the lakeside management.

Rude and arrogant receptionist and doctor where I nearly walked out.
I haven’t been for about 3 years where you could book on line which was easy and the doctors you felt were really concerned and willing to help, also the receptionist was pleasant and friendly totally the opposite for this visit.

Gone down badly since becoming Lakeside health care. Catalogue of problems is to long to list. Two recent ones. Peterborough hospital asked for bloods to be done following a change in meds. They refused to do them. After an ambulance call out for a suspected heart attack, I was told to contact the surgery to get bloods done. They wouldn't and said I should call 999, which lead to spending 14 hrs in a very busy A&E getting the bloods done. Something both they and I could have done without. This is only two recent issues there has been many more, all of which I suspect is down to keeping costs down

Wouldn’t call this a medical practice at all. More often than not they tell you to book privately rather than seeing you. Getting an appointment is nearly impossible. You have to wait on hold just to get a phone call back at a random time. Missed the call due to being on the toilet and called right back only to be told I have to call back tomorrow morning. Receptionists are rude and very unhelpful. Wouldn’t recommend to someone even if they were on their deathbed.

Receptionist was very rude, would not accommodate me for sensory overload when I requested it. But the doctors have been great.

It’s a drs Sugery, there all under huge pressure and badly understaffed as all nhs services are. To do the best they can under this pressure .
I’ve been 4times in 7 years and yes I’ve seen the service being given drop but the staff are all kind and respectful and the GP’s give honest advice and help you get referred when there not sure . they can’t fix everything on the spot.

An absolute shambles. The directors should be ashamed of themselves and the government should be investigating Lakeside.

This doctors surgery is not even worth 1 star.

Since they were taken over by Lakeside Healthcare the care and quality of care has nose dived.

All of the competent polite reception staff have left know all receptionists are now, incompetent, rude, and aggressive.

Also NO patient can pre book ANY appointment you must ring at 8am to book an appointment if your lucky, or at 12 noon if your lucky. It will take several weeks to get an appointment at this unfit for purpose, uncaring, healthcare provider.
