The Arc Cinema

It's been a while since Covid struck and I hadn't been to a cinema for 2 years. I was, like many I'm sure, a little anxious about being a venue, such as a cinema for the first time in all this time and with Covid still being 'a thing'. I chose to go to a local cinema and I'm really glad I did.
This cinema was a child-hood cinema for me, but used to be called The Hollywood Cinema.
Now re-named Arc Cinema, it hasn't lost any of its charm or history, in fact it's leant into its history and in the corridor leading to the screens there is memorabilia and interesting things to read and look at.
There is easy access, via wheelchair or on foot to an open lobby. There are clean toilets (although not very many). There is a ticket machine, if you've ordered ahead. There is food and drink that can be purchased (but a tad expensive).
The carpet is clean and the walls have a fresh coat of paint.
The screens have brand new, slightly reclined seats, which is a massive bonus considering the seats in the screens prior.
The screens are big and the sound is good quality.
The staff were welcoming and friendly.
There appears to be a car park at the front, but don't be fooled by it, it never seems to be open to the public. Parking is available near-by (a very short walk away). However a lot of it is pay and display. If you are more local, you will know where to park for free.
All-in-all a nice refreshing make-over for this lovely cinema! And worth visiting.

Since Arc have upgraded the old Cinema, I have nothing but praise. Attentive, efficient and polite staff who looked after us from start to finish. I left my phone and when I got home my partner received a call from Jenna to that effect. When we returned to pick it up she refused a reward. She made a very alarming situation into a great relief. Nice cinema. I like that there's toilets very close to the screen room, quite handy if you have a weaker bladder. Mens toilets were actually very clean and smelt fresh which was a surprise!

Good screen size, comfortable seats. I feel like the ticket prices are okay for the most part.

Highly recommend! Seats are the most comfortable of any cinema I’ve been in. Snacks are delicious. Staff member was friendly and helpful. Brilliant that there’s free parking right outside. A definite gem in the heart of Yarmouth. Only one thing lacking-Arc..please get IMAX/3D screens!!

Excellent experience. Comfy seats. Great sound and projection. Decent entrance price. Food standard cinema fare. Free car park. 5 screens. Only negative it's a mile to the toilet, but that's my fault for having too much diet coke.

Went to see the new avatar movie, great movie over 3 hours long so was glad the seats are good and very comfortable with lots of leg room. Picture and sound quality excellent. Enjoyable experience Will definitely go again.

Booked a cinema party for our 7 year old daughter and the cinema could not have been more helpful and pulled out all the stops including putting out the red carpet and putting balloons up making all the children feel super special. The cinema even opened early to allow us to get all our drinks and snacks before the cinema opened to the public. We would definitely recommend this venue for parties.

Attended a special advanced screening of Empire of Light on Monday evening and it was a fantastic event. Entered on a red carpet and was given complimentary popcorn and glass of bubbly! Great film, great hospitality! Derren and his team at The Arc Cinema do a wonderful job!
