Well laid out and good exhibits. Such an interesting piece of social history. Staff very informed. Would go back in 2018. A guided tour /audio tour/ talk would be great, btu a lady informed me that they do sometimes have demonstrations which sounds great.

Great way to spend a wet afternoon in Newtown. Lovely to see history of the area. My little boy especially liked the train track to play with, feeling the different materials and looking around the old style shops on the top floor. Really friendly staff too. Have to do stairs but they're not too steep and you can do one floor at a time- it is a lot bigger than you think!

Very good museum, lots of short pieces of information, very helpful volunteers and lots to look at. Well worth a visit if you are into history, working conditions or textiles.

Brilliant place. Run totally by volunteers. Surprisingly free entry. Please give a donation when you visit as maintaining the place can be expensive.
