Pedi + Mani: Dry, no soak (did not feel as relaxing and did not feel like a very thorough job was done as a result- This is personal preference-)
Cuticle removal: minimal- nails do not look neat (see pictures)
Shape: asked for square round edges, some nails are round, others are ok. overall uneven result, does not look neat.
Nail polish: very big gap between skin and the start of the colour so nails look shorter and as a result will need to redo sooner than expected.
Overall feel: not satisfied, poor result, overpriced, disappointed as was looking for neater result before Christmas. Will not be going back.
Unfortunately going to have to find a new nail salon -LG was my go-to as the location is great, and previously I've had good experiences, but recently standards have dropped and I'm especially disappointed in how they handled a complaint.
I always get the 'top notch' shellac manicures - they're priced quite high, comparatively, considering you don't get anything like a massage or soaking etc, it's really just a polish. They're neat, though, with most of the CND colours, and in general my manicures usually last around 3 weeks.
Recently I got a shellac manicure and I was a bit concerned that the colour I'd chosen was quite gloopy, but the technician wasn't worried. A week in, half of my nails had peeled or chipped from the bottom. I emailed LG after the weekend (as their emails aren't manned and the salon is closed til Weds) to ask if they could arrange for a repair or replacement, or credit my account for next time. At this point it's still well under the 2 weeks that they say shellac should last (and we all know it should).
I received a rude reply stating that it's policy that a customer must complain within 7 days, and that I must provide timestamped photographs from within that period, for them to do anything. I asked where that policy is listed (as it was complete news to me! Who would accept a £42 shellac manicure that only lasts 7 days) and received a screenshot of a sentence at the very bottom of the terms and conditions at their site. So, I guess it's my bad - but I'm warning any future customers that they do shoddy work now (see other reviews) AND will not even consider repairing it... find a better salon guys.
