A very small but beautiful Woodland trust site planted to mark the millennium. Well marked paths will take you around the whole site which is a nice easy walk. Unfortunately as with all such area's there are the ever present signs of lazy and immensely disrespectful dog owners so some caution is required. In Spring / Early summer the older more mature woodland section to the lower right hand side ( From the main entrance gate off Watery gate lane / Church street) is worth a visit. Bluebells in abundance!

Always a great place to take the dog for a short walk

Lovely little wood with numerous paths that lead through and around the area. Good place for dog walking, running or just a gentle stroll. Not particularly wheelchair or pushchair friendly. No other amenities (no toilets, etc). On road parking only with very limited spaces.

Great little gem of a place, nice small woods to explore. I'm unsure if there is any proper parking but there is space for 2 cars at the entrance I found.
If this really was a wood planted for locals to enjoy then they should ensure they pick up after there dogs, especially when there's a bin provided.
Excited to see it in another 10 yrs.
