It’s a small wood and parking is limited. I’ve been all times of day and it has a constant stream of visitors but not completely packed
Plenty of well laid out paths and self-guided walks.
There are two car parks plus it's easy to park along the side of the road.
Well worth a visit.
I add the following to the initial review.
There are 2 small car parks, one to service each of the two halves of Stafford woods.
One is in Grant Lane nearly opposite to Monks Lane and is the larger of the two.
The other is in Staffhurst Wood Road very close to the junction with Dwelly Lane and is the smaller.
To be honest at the entrance to both car parks are grass verges and is where most people seem to park.
Those that pak in Stafford wood Road can either go into the bottom of 1 half of the woods or the top half of the other or if you're feeling energetic do them both.
Staffhurst woods are divided into 2 divided by a road and both of them are nearly as big as each other and there is nothing to stop you hopping over the road to expand your walk.
What I personally love about the woods is the peace and serenity of being one with Nature and yourself and in my case 2 dogs.
Depending on the time you go, you could spend a couple of hours walking and not see anyone. No matter where you walk, you have a canopy of trees above you. You could even take a picnic but there are no tables and only a few benches about. In brief it is as nature created it.
At this time of year the woods are also known as the Bluebell woods for the obvious reasons shown in my pictures. Blanket after blanket of bluebells through the Woods captured in the pictures I have uploaded.
Whilst both woods have a small car park, the majority just park on the outside verges which is a commonplace practice.
If you see a mature man with a black and white fluffy border collie and/or a golden pomeranian dog, please feel free to say hello, it's me.
I still get lost in the woods occasionally and have to refer to my walking app to get back to the car. I blame it on age.
I haven't been out walking in my pyjamas and slippers yet but give it time!
