Great walk in lovely sunshine
A supprising oasis on the edge of the city, plenty to see, great views, no facilities or parking

My family and I love this area, its very peaceful, and has a number of paths as well as muddy tracks to walk through, perfect place to take a relaxing walk. Along the paths there are bins, a park at one end with a good size field, picnic bench and basketball hoop with swings and two different play frames. Our 2 year old loves this place too!

We love walking around here, it is so peaceful. Perfect place to walk dogs. We call it our private place, it's just so hidden away and lovely

Love this wild patch of woodland. Great for taking bug pictures on a sunny day!

This is our regular daily walk. It's a nice spot, full of birdsong and squirrels. Great place for the kids or the dogs to run around and explore. Nicely kept too, with gravel paths for damp weather. Not huge, but good for an hour's ramble, or an hours's play in the children's area.

Lovely secluded nature reserve. Lots of little paths leading to different areas of the woodland. Can easily make a walk last an hour if you explore all around the edge and over the footpath to Sandy Lane nature reserve. Little car park on Sandgate accessing a good play area too.

I love walking these paths all through the year as the trees and wildlife change baby rabbits and hundreds of birds singing including the song thrush. Beautiful, quite stable underfoot too
