An optician's in Northampton General Hospital - to be avoided at all cost.
Starting from a badly arranged shop, where talking to a receptionist is a hazard, with the entrance door smacking into you when someone comes in. The admin staff are mumbling and are seemingly unsure about everything. They had no idea about entitlement or NHS vouchers for an 86 year old registered visually impaired person!

The overall impression is that they want you in and out as soon as possible. They did not even phone when the glasses were ready, we had to chase them! I am afraid to say that the glasses were also useless after all. Will never go back or recommend... AVOID!

Expensive but thorough testing.

This optician failed to refer my wife to the hospital despite having Doynes honeycomb dystrophy, a very serious disease that leads to blindness.
Extremely unprofessional business

Had a previous appointment at the eye clinic but on departing, noticed that there was a dirty fingerprint on my lens.

Knocked on the door of this opticians just to ask if they had any lens wipes. A lady opened the door about an inch and looked at me like I was going to rob the place. She then shut the door and obviously asked one of the receptionists, who had the same attitude. She finally opened the door and said they couldn't help me. Really??

I'd rather walk around blind before going to such a shambles of a place.

Rude? Yes. Professional? No. Worth a visit? Definitely no.
