Arrived for a 10am appt, and wasn’t seen for almost an hour. When enquiring almost an hour later, I was told there was a staff shortage. It would have been helpful if they had informed me of the delay upon arrival, or at least kept in the loop re delay to my appointment so that I could carry out other tasks. Considering one is sometimes spending £300+, it really doesn’t make sense to have such a poor service. It just feels unprofessional. I’ve been to Specsavers all around London and it’s a shame this shop shares the same brand. There was just a general sense of all customers in the store being unhappy with the service and trying to figure out where they were in a long queue. When I asked where I was in the queue, the staff member told me she wasn’t sure why I hadn’t been seen ahead of others, which left me startled because if she doesn’t know, then where does that leave me.

Extremely professional and great value! The staff are so friendly and helpful, what a wonderful environment feels like a health SPA for your eyes!! A big thanks to Pinal Patel, Imran & Jodie for all your help in getting my eyes done perfectly:)

Thank you. My glasses came out better than I expected. This is the first time I am wearing bifocal glasses and I'm happy with them. I can't thank you enough for the explanation and the care you provided to me during my visit.

On my last visit I didn't have a good service. I came as I was called to pick up my glasses and when I arrived I was treated like I am there to bother them. Long wait and unpleasant experience this time. Really dissatisfied this time.

I had an appointment today Friday at 17:25 in the Lewisham branch and they treated me like rubbish. I arrived to the shop, and had to wait in reception to be attended, while the client in front of me was being attended by a member of staff. After a while, the staff member had a moment to ask me if I had an appointment and he then went to find a colleague to take care of me. I walked with her to her desk. She took her time to check all my details in the computer and then asked me what time my appointment was. I said 17:25, and her answer was that I was late and they only allow 5 minutes to be late. So she went to ask the optometrist. When she came back, she asked me to leave, because the optometrist was not going to see me, as (according to her) I was 12 minutes late, and they only "forgive" 5 minutes. I explained that I arrived to the shop quite a while ago and I had been waiting in the reception. But she repeated that I was 12 minutes late, and that I had to leave. I reiterated that I was waiting for a while in the reception for them to attend me (btw, you can check in the cameras the time I arrived there). She repeated I was not going to be attended. Then she looked back to the computer, ignoring me. I said bye to her, she continued ignoring me and I left.

Today in this appointment I was planning to make the whole eye test plus the OCT, as I need a new prescription, new glasses and new contact lenses. I was going to try and buy new glasses, new contacts and some contact solution, all in that shop. Obviously Specsavers in general and Lewisham brand in particular have a lot of clients and they don't care to lose some of them. My partner uses glasses and contact lenses too, and she is a client of Specsavers (but not anymore from now on). That's fine, losing clients and money, but, please, stop treating people like rubbish. It's vital to be kind and to show respect, especially working in a customer service role. I left my job early to travel to Lewisham and I spent money in the train to go there. Also my partner did the same, as she was going to help me to find new glasses. But it turns out it was a wasted trip for both of us. I feel like I was treated unfairly today and that an excuse was given for not keeping my appointment. I know I was not 12 minutes late, arriving to the shop, and it was a long time after my arrival that it was pronounced that I was 12 minutes late. I feel really upset about the way that I was treated and it really did ruin my evening. I won't go back to any Specsavers shop and neither will my partner.

The pros of my visit is I selected glasses that was right for my sight.

The cons are that the shop is ghetto. Your not greeted on arrival. Half the staff look like they don't want to be there.

Your told to sit down and then they just walk off. Where exactly do you want me to sit ?

They didn't help me look for glasses either. Very unprofessional.

Next steps, please improve your customer service. Its not a friendly atmosphere.

I went today to purchase some glasses, it's the first time I've been in that particular branch. I was served by Batuhan a young gentleman who showed kindness patience and attentiveness in a store that is visibly dealing with difficult customers. I would definitely recommend going to see Batuhan if you are going to get a fitting.
