The in store service is very good but once you leave the shop it is virtually impossible to have any contact. Over a month after paying for new glasses not so much as a text or call to say what is happening,and if you call the shop a recorded message continuously telling you that you are number 1 in the queue until you are then informed that all their lines are busy and they will cancel you back.

Eye test was very thorough and well explained. As I thought, I do need new glasses. Grace was so patient helping me choose new frames and finding shape that suited me. Will definitely recommend these lovely people if you are in need of help with eye problems.

No complaints here. Excellent service since I moved over from a local competitor.

All 3 staff were friendly and professional ,particularly the optician who was very thorough and informative.

The ladies in the office are lovely BUT.. I had the worst experience with the man doing the eye test for my 5 year old. He made her feel so uncomfortable and embarrassed she didn’t want to do the eye test properly because of the way he was speaking to her. He sniggered and said “ ha I doubt that very much” when we explained my daughters eyes go fuzz when she’s trying to read. He also told me I should have come after school because she was tired (but that’s the time her appointment was given to me!) he made my daughter extremely nervous and wasn’t welcoming at all she was saying to me she couldn’t see the letters he was putting up but he just didn’t believe her !! Absolutely awful she left crying asking me why he didn’t believe her! I will never go here again!

Love my new glasses! Very efficient ordering process. Nice to be able to give my eyes a rest from contact lenses. Thank you.

Terrible experience with Simon Collins optometrist, no apology for being late, (he hated having this pointed out to him), terrible explanation of how reading glasses work (I still don’t understand), and he was happy for my prescription to be different to the eye test he did a week prior (I assume just to get me out of the shop). He didn’t seem to care that his staff were visibly embarrassed by his attitude towards me. My previous appointment was 35 mins late but I didn’t say anything then as I wasn’t in a rush. In covid times you’d expect them to run like clockwork to reduce customer time in the shop. There’s a basic lack of customer care which is really poor.

I've had two eye-tests in Cranleigh since they opened, and I've been really impressed with the service each time. Mr Patel noticed a hole in the back of my eye and referred me to the hospital straight away. This was sorted efficiently and avoided a huge problem for me. When the hospital hadn't called me straight away, Mr Patel chased it up even though he wasn't working. The pre-testing was also very efficient and very clean. Lovely store.
