Great family friendly optician. We had a lovely optician called Marcus who was able to evade my 10 year olds deception so she could get to wear glasses 😂. Very honest. Great range of glasses and latest testing technology.

I wanted to get my eyes checked but decided to check this website first to see if I should use this optician and I’m liking what I see. Under the eye health category they have a list of topics on the eye with a definition e.g. you tap myopia and it will show you what it means or just click eye health and it will show you a lot of tips on what you should or shouldn’t do. It even shows a summary of their health care services and what is included in the service and they allow you to book online then there’s the services category which shows you all the services available in Gordon Thomas. Their contact information is displayed for any inquiries you may have. After checking their website Im making sure to go to Gordon Thomas for my eye test.

I spoke with Maria on the phone. Honest, down to earth with a lovely sense of humour. The shop has very good energy. I felt it as soon as I walked in. Very calm. I was seen by Subir within minutes of arrival. He made me feel totally at ease. A great balance - very professional and sociable. We had a chat about Cyprus!Urja was absolutely brilliant. She has great energy and answered all of my questions and concerns. She made me feel very comfortable. I was able to be open and honest about my current home life situation (Giving up work to look after my disabled wife). Urja also gave me some advice on possible help I may be entitled to as my wifes carer. When I picked up my glasses, I met Penny. She spotted me waiting at the desk and came straight over to help with my enquiry. I was very early, and yet I was seen. Absolutely fantastic service! Subir was very clear with the process before, during and after. He explained everything regarding my new lenses. He should be commended for his customer care . It was exceptional.Thank you Subir, Urja, Maria and Penny. What a team!"

Finally, the QUALITY of the lenses. I have never had lenses of such a high standard. I only have vision in one eye. Vari-focal transition lenses with anti glare. Wow! For the first time, I can drive comfortably at night. No more squinting at the headlights of oncoming cars. I feel that the vision I have left is being monitored by the best. The OCT test is crucial for me as my parents both suffered from eye conditions resulting in my father loosing sight in one eye and very poor vision in the other.

I have been to other opticians, those advertised on TV, but the customer care and quality of the lenses is very poor indeed. It is so worth paying a bit more for the quality of lenses provided by Gordon Thomas.

Been going for a number of years at first absolutely excellent until another company bought in and he was always to pushy and staff trying to get to buy even if you didn't want to. I wouldn't go in if he was there or certain staff I know who were good. When he left it went to being an a very good place to to go

Such a friendly, efficient and professional staff. I went in a couple of weeks ago to repair a pair of glasses which were bent and Subir was extremely helpful, he repaired them in literally 3 minutes. I couldn’t be happier for the service, thank you very much!

I had been having visual disturbances in my left eye so made an appointment for an eye test at a local optician. When I explained what the problem was, the receptionist there said I should be seen straightaway but their optometrist was not on duty that day. She advised me to try some other opticians to check the back of my eye. I therefore called in at Gordon Thomas and, although they were fully booked, the young lady optometrist saw me immediately, explaining what the likely issue was and why it was important to get it checked out. She was extremely kind, helpful and informative and was able to put my mind at rest. What an excellent service! Thank you so much and I shall book all future eye checks with you!
