Been struggling for a few years using over the counter reading glass’s . Decided now was the time to have a proper eye test . Booking of appointment at a time convenient for me was so easy. Very thorough eye test explaining each part in detail . They made me feel so comfortable and confident in their results and not just looking to sell some glass’s purchased two pairs as well as some fancy ones for driving ! 1st rate customer service , excellent value . If you are looking for a business you can trust I highly recommend

My late father always hated this opticians. I thought he was being grumpy until I went to get tested and buy some glasses there myself. The test was half-arsed. It was during covid restrictions so yeah I get that maybe he didn’t want to be exposed for too long or whatever. But I feel like he could have put a screen or modified the machine so as to make both of us feel a bit better about being inches from each others pie holes for the duration. The equipment was aging worse than the other dude that helped me pick some frames. My prescription never felt right. And when my frames came I was given a case that was too small for the frames. And when I asked for another one, I got given a tatty old one that was obviously from a previous customer. When you have to sell a kidney to buy these things, the least they can do is give you a case that fits and isn’t damaged and covered in someone else’s face grease. Oh and matey who helped me choose did a rubbish job of cleaning the manufacturing markings off the lenses. The anti glare on the lenses gave everything an off orange colour whilst wearing. Boots should stick to handing out methadone prescriptions and selling baby formula.

Amazingly nice and well informed staff. Genuinely a pleasure to have my eyes tested.
