My housemate and I went there for her to get some new glasses Gregory was amazing and couldn't fault his service, patient and knowledgeable!! We ended up getting some Armani glasses, with blue light blocker tint and also eyes tested ophthalmologist was amazing. We had to wait around 11 days for us to pick them up!
On return to collect the glasses today we was disappointed with the service provided and actually a little shocked on the after care. The older lady had her try on the glasses and asked "is that ok", what she should have asked is do they fit well, do they fit around the ear, are they straight on your face and normally they spend time with you with better after care by checking these, you expect this when you pay £300, not what she got which was "do they look ok" took them off and was handed them in a small cardboard box... I think the money we spent on the glasses should have been provided in a glasses case. John Lewis please look at this policy change.

Extremely rude reception staff. Called to inquire about details of the glasses I got from this store but she couldn’t find any details and kept asking me if I was sure I got glasses from that store. She only joined the store a few days ago and has zero etiquette and non existent customer service - should be put on training asap.

3 months ago I had an eye test and bought a new pair of glasses and ordered lenses for my old frames. They said they would call me within in a week when my lenses were ready. 2 weeks later, I brought my daughter to pick up her new glasses and asked if my lenses were going to be ready soon. They told me they had been there for a week, however they turned out to be the wrong lenses.
So I had to wait for them to call me when the actual lenses that would go in my old frames would be ready. Well life goes on and I'm still quite comfortable using the old glasses with the old lenses but seeing as I'd spent £99 on lenses maybe I should go get them. After 10 minutes on the phone they still couldn't tell me if they had my lenses and I'm actually waiting for them to call me back to get my £99 pounds back. I'm not going to hold my breath.
An apology would have warranted another star but that must be with my missing lenses

I've recently had my eye test done at this branch and bought a new pair of Ray ban glasses. Bozena and Sabina both helped me to choose the perfect frames and advised the type of lenses I should get. Excellent customer service, wide range of prescription glasses and convinient location. 5* branch.

Went with my Dad who needed new glasses and an eye test, took about 10 days for the lenses to arrive and my Dad was very pleased with the glasses. If/when my vision deteriorates I will come here too.

I took my children for their eye test and the optician was amazing!! She was supper good and because of her I would go back again and have done! However, having said this, when purchasing glasses for children you will only have the designer range. You can get the NHS discount to reduce the costs of the lens, but what I found really unjust is you pay on top what the glasses cost e.g ray bans pair after the NHS discount may cost £36 pounds, but because the NHS discount applied you won’t have the ray ban name printed on the lens which doesn’t make sense because you have paid the on top fees of the glasses. Also, the information is not clear so when you go to buy or look at glasses you see the price tag but that tag is after the discount has been applied, so unless you ask you may assume your that price is the actual price until you go to the checkouts with your child. Also the information about the designer name print on the glasses is not also provided so you can will not know this until you have purchased your glasses and it’s has been given to you to collect because no one has explained this to you! So overall the optician is excellent but the store and options is not accommodated for children unless you want to buy designer but no actual label on the glasses! I have given three stars only because the optician was amazing and to be fair it should be five star for the optician but I wasn’t fully pleased with the non child friendly option for the glasses.
