A week back, I took my family and grandchildren to the Caravan Park at Poulton Plaiz Holiday Park. August 2013
On arrival, we checked the caravan, only to find lots of things missing, when we found the check list, even though the maid had checked her list. The cleaning wasn't upto scratch. Water marks under the kettle and tray. Crumbs by the toaster and a small bag of sweets under the cushions in the living area.
We did not get a verandah as it mentions on the Web-site and in the brochure, which the Managing Director (no name, the staff are not allowed to give that out.) sent me a email, saying they only have them on the wooden cabins. She gave me the website address to check it out. So I must be a liar. It's there in black and white. The surroundings were not tranquil. or pleasent. If you took a stroll to the back of the caravans, its looks a mess. Weeds growing all over 2 very old scruffy static caravans. It mentions that you can have a lovely picnic by the lake. You had to fight the weeds to get there, and that was over grown.
The nearest shop is a good 15 minute walk, there is nowhere to purchase the basics, like milk, bread or tea/coffee.
Although it says children are allowed, there is no park area, the nearest one is 10/15mins away over the main road. We were on tender hooks, every 5 mins watching the children play. It says a secure park. It just means you have a key fob for the car barrier, any tom dick or harry could walk in.
On our DEPARTURE, I left some towels in the above bed cupboards. By the time I'd got back home, the caravan had been let. So they would not go back and ask the guest, if they'd found them, or check. They could have just said, it had been missed when cleaning. I phoned up on the Friday after the guest had left, but they are still saying I did not leave them there. SO I MUST BE A LIAR!. They are convinced the cleaner did their job and all cupboard
It wasn't the luxury I was expecting, but it was just somewhere to sleep.
Its not where I'd go back to. Too far from the basics, even the pub.
If you just want to be a recluse, then this is for you.
I may sound picky, but I find them to be valid points.

If the holiday members that stayed in Caravan 70, checking in on the 5th Aug 2013 read this. Could you please let me know if you found them. You dont after leave a name, or return them to me. I just want to prove a point, that I'm not a liar. Thank You.

We got home last night from a weekend at Poulton Plaiz leisure Park and it was absolutely fantastic. We booked very late on Friday afternoon to arrive that night. I know last minute, but that's how we like to do it. Our key was kept secure for us and I have to admit I was astounded when we arrived at our caravan. It was SPOTLESS, modern with fresh bedding. And I mean very fresh. The linen smelt beautiful. I did bring my own just incase and it wasn't needed. Everything was supplied within the caravan and we couldn't rave it any more. The site was easy to find and local to all amenities. Including the pleasure beach. The site let us leave later as we was spending our weekend there. Which we truly appreciated. Thank you so much. We will definitely be booking again in the next few weeks as the kids want another round at the fair.

BEWARE. We complained about of the state of the lodge, that was meant to be luxury. We got threatened and had to leave 2 days early. With no refund of any kind. I would not take children there. Don't ruin your holiday by staying there.

Treated my mum and took her on a holiday for a week for her 70th. 6 of us went, 4 in the 70 age bracket and me and my fiance. We booked a caravan that was in the "family" area and needed special dispensation to be allowed to book it as they are not generally rented out for adult only groups, but due to our average ages, they didn't see a problem.

Walk away from Poulton centre and a bus journey away from Blackpool, we all loved staying here, was quiet and loved the surrounding area. Blackpool I've hated for a long time, but booked it primarily for my mum as she hasn't had a seaside holiday for years. Blackpool has had a lot of money spent on it and I would definitely book this holiday again without an ounce of doubt. Great cheap holiday for 6 people, even though a bit cramped for 6 adults re: sleeping, but was a great week and definitely value for money when you look at the costs for half a dozen adults.

What a wonderful place. We had a short break at Poulton Plaiz and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, this would be a wonderful place to have a holiday home. We can't recommend the staff enough, they are all very helpful and nothing is too much trouble, special thanks to Susie who is a credit to the company.

I have a holiday home where my wife and I spend a lot of time.
The locality is great for restaurants and days out.dog walking heaven with lots of places to take them. Easy access to Blackpool fleetwood trough of bowl and etc. Site is lovely and quiet and last but by no means least all the staff and management are very helpful.
