18 weeks wait and no goods. Had to contact Paypal for a refund. Nearly all messages and emails ignored. False claims of goods sent with promise of delivery and tracking details which never happened. They seem more interested in their expedition side of the business than the tarps, hammocks and quilts. Having to now use American companies with expensive import duty and delivery to add on, as well as now not having any Winter kit this year.
Disappointing doesn't come close to how bad the customer service is!

TL;DR: THIEF run away from them !

Items sent more than 4 months after the order. Quality was crappy (and I have bought from other cottage companies such as hammockgear) so I ask for a refund, I have an email with the proof of their approval and now after a year I have not received my money back. Only one word: THIEF !

I have ordered about 5 items over 2 years. I have found Matt a very approachable guy with good advice on customising my purchases. I'm in business and truly understand how difficult it is to manage customer expectation.
However, I'm a customer willing to waiting over 2 years for a custom knife to turn up from Survive kivives in the USA...Like UK hammocks it will be worth the wait...M

Here my tale of woe....I ordered my UQ on 22/12/17, now I knew these guys where renowned for taking there time but thought how bad could they really be......I can now confirm absolutely dreadful!! I gave these clowns over 2 months before I started to ask questions about where my order had got too & was given a raft of " reasons " why it was taking so long from being out of down, the snow blah blah blah! On 13/03/18...yep nearly 3 months after I ordered I requested to cancel my order & get my money back.
I was told that my order had already been despatched & as such it couldn't be cancelled....over a week later & many emails later my order arrived. After looking at the Parcelforce label my order was in fact despatched on 20/03/18! Upon inspection of my UQ the quality is dreadful & appears to of been a " rush job " !
Someone called Dionne has been my only point of contact via email as no one mans the phone as they are " away on an expedition ".....Dionne is a liar plain & simple & UK Hammocks are shambolic bunch of chancers eager to take your money & then string you along with deceit & lies! Please note I ordered a WarBonnet Superfly tarp from the USA at same time & that arrived within 3 weeks from point of order!
I am at present talking with trading standards as I dont want this second rate UQ especially as I tried to cancel it due to the laughable time it took & the dreadful customer service I received!

I bought a Winter Under quilt from them and It is a poor product bad stitching ad finish and understuffed. The Down smells so bad i have had to buy a Special Cleaner . I heard Mat has sold the company and yet he promotes his Expeditions on the site. Avoid this Company and there Expeditions, Terrible customer service.

Well I feel I've placed my last order with Matt at UK hammocks due to the horrendous service received from them and as others have noted a total lack of customer care and poor quality unfinished products. I've had a winter under quilt that was ment to be Kyote brown that makes me look like liberachy hanging from a tree a top quilt that came with an unfinished storage bag as they didn't even bother to fit the pull cord in it I did myself and a woodman x that had parts missing and the foot sag arrangement was just cord tied up as they had no parts for it so had to call and ask for them and fit myself and now lastly I've ordered another hammock back in may and have had no response to my emails phone calls or even a wattsapp message I sent Matt. It looks like his phone is no cut off as I've tried to call and it just goes dead so thanks very much for all you've done for me and I will be yet another customer getting my bank to reclaim the money back for me . I have been ignored for over a month now and before that I've been told plain bare faced lies. I have been waiting now for 17 weeks and 5 days and they cant be bothered to reply to me so I'm going to the bank to recover the money that they seem to be stealing from me. That's 240 pounds which they took from my account and disappeared with! Stay clear of these cowboy's.
