Cheltenham Spa Station Car Park

Car park? What car park. There is more parking on the taxi stand than in the actual car park. Thanks APCOA for not actually advising anywhere that there is limited parking until your actually at the station. If I had known this I would have travelled from another station rather than having my whole travel plans messed up. My advise - If your planning on parking here, use Gloucester instead.

It's a lottery as to whether you can get parked. The car park has been undergoing so called improvements for over 2 years and it is worse now than ever - how long does it take to improve a car park? I arrive a good hour before my train us due so that if I am unable to park I can drive back home and get a taxi back to the station to catch my train. It's appalling!

Used car park midweek September 2020 & had no problems finding a space (car park 90% empty). Car park has had a upgrade with more spaces added, this coupled with less train use due to COVID means plenty of spaces for passengers for the time being.

Didn't like the new layout. I couldn't just pull up and let my passenger jump in like I used to. Instead, I had to go and find a parking place in the car park.

nice now the parking and renovations are complete. not extremely well signposted. only two platforms which is ideal for a simpleton like me.

Good parking with plenty of spaces and bays are decent size. I would use it again.
Using app is easy to setup as well.

I am a season pass holder as I commute daily from Cheltenham to Bristol for work and park my car at Cheltenham Spa train station. With no proper communication, no compensation, nor providing and alternative solutions, APCOA, the company that manages the car park, decided to close the car park for a week due to the Horse Races in Cheltenham.

All we had was a notice in their website and in the car park that says the car park will be closed. So what happens to the season pass holders then? Where do we park as we need to go to work daily? Not a single email, FAQ on the website, nothing.

Only way to contact them is thru webchat. Person on the webchat said they will investigate and email to me, no emails...

Messaged to GWR on their social media, no response...

Simply, outrageous and GWR shouldn't work with such unprofessional car park operators.

Easy to use station that basically only has two platforms and is connected by a bridge with sloping walkways

One platform is for Birmingham and the North
The other platform is for Bristol and Wales and the west country

All the usual facilities, café, toilets (on the Bristol platform)

There is a ticket office and ticket machine - barriers are usually in operation

Screens for train departures

Normally a staffed station
