It's free, takes about 12 to 15 cars, loose gravel surface. Sharp turn onto fast bendy road so take care getting in and especially out again. Is dead on south downs way.

Start here to put yourself on the South Downs Way. There are so many trails. We whipped round Kingley Vale. Then, out towards Chichester for a recharge at Wellies Tearooms (100% prebook). Finally, we pushed up Trundle Hill to get a great view of Goodwood and back to the car. There is a lovely stop for coffees just off the car park.

Top Tip: it’s a small car park and it’s free. So, bare that in mind when you’re planning your route.

Lovely walk on the South downs way, and the cafe is pretty good.

Perfect for the South downs way but high crime so do not leave anything on display

Did a section of the SDW and when I came back there a leaflet on my window to show that people (I assume police or PCSO) had been round to make sure no valuables were on show. It’s nice to know it’s checked and also on a Sunday! :)

Spacious and near to a great café, both very convenient for the South Downs Way and chalk ball walk.
The only problem is that four cars were smashed into and robbed at about half 4 today. It would be good to see the café and land owner collaborating on CCTV or just trimming the hedge lower so more eyes can be on the place.

Nice little free carpark with no hight restriction. There's room for about 15 cars. Sharp turn in and out, so take care. It's a bit hidden, you need to know where it is, as by the time you get to it, it's to late to stop. There're lots of walks nearby, especially up the hill, but no information available.

Came for the name, stayed for the walk. Lovely part of South downs way. Free parking. Miniature horses. Views like this nearby.
