I have being attending RMF for 2+ years not hefty gym fees you pay for what you use . Richard and Debbie are brilliant instructors , there is a class to suit everyone . If it wasn't for Richard and his lovely wife Sarah I would of never started running now I love it . My advise is get off your backside and get yourself there you owe it to yourself !

Richard has been fantastic at getting me back into really enjoying exercise and getting fit. Richard’s knowledge and experience in fitness are second to none and he’s been fantastic at tailoring those experiences to get the best results, whether you’re a competitive triathlete or just looking to get in shape. The range of classes including indoor cycling, Pilates and boot camp are great for those looking for smaller classes and a more personal approach. Would highly recommend to anyone!

RMF is the best place to be for all things Health and fitness.
Small group classes and Personal Training for beginners to World Championship Triathletes
and everyone in between are on offer at RMF.
I have been coming here for Three years as a personal client of Richard and in that time have been personally coached to complete various events from sprint triathlons to running my first Marathon with
bigger goals ahead for this year.
At fiftyish and a bit fat if I can do it anyone can. If you are looking for RESULTS and Inspiration

As a direct result of the advice I received from Richard Mason, I suffered a bulging disc and suspected damage to my sacroiliac joints while completing a block of 10 training sessions.

Over the past 14 months I have been in severe pain and discomfort everyday, this injury has stopped me from doing all the things I enjoy and many things that a healthy 22 year old takes for granted. Below are the costs incurred due to the injury:

- £300+ on private physiotherapy.
- £300+ on petrol to drive to and from Kendal, Lancaster, Preston and Chorley hospitals to try and get to the root of the problem.
-£2,500+ on ergonomic equipment at home and at work in an attempt to allow me to work and study in less pain.
-£250+ on the cocktail of daily pain killers that make me nauseous, yet I now rely on them to live somewhat comfortably.

Furthermore, I have had to take over 2 months off work because at its worst I was unable to stand up straight or walk without provoking excruciating nerve pain (at which point I was referred to a spinal surgeon who was considering me for and operation). As part of my treatment I have now had 3 MRI scans and 5 separate steroid injections in different locations around in my spine which have been unsuccessful attempts to ease my symptoms.

Towards the end of the training sessions I had with Richard I voiced that I had pain in the back of my thigh running down to my calf, he dismissed this as aches and pains suggested that I should do more stretching. Every doctor and physiotherapist I have seen over the past 14 months is confident that the training I have done with has been the cause of my injuries as they identified that I had been shown incorrect form for weight lifting exercises.

Richard is a nice man who is easy to get along with, however he does not know how to identify and correct poor form when coaching people through new exercises. This is incredibly dangerous as he can seriously damage someones health, as he has done to mine.

I have written this review to make others aware that training with Richard Mason brings with it the potential for serious long term injury, as I wish that I could warned so that the everything I have mentioned could have been avoided.

I find the older you get the harder it is to keep in shape. That’s why I’ve been training with Richard now for well over five years. His down to earth, no nonsense approach, backed up with huge depth of knowledge has kept me fit, energised and still able to easily wriggle into my jeans!!

Unquestionably the best PT around if you want sustainable results.
