Boots Pharmacy

I'm horrified by how poor this pharmacy has become. We have had several prescriptions sent over after visits to our GP. Each time it takes days to have them made up and you have to call to ensure that they have the medication in stock. When you arrive the prescription is generally not made up and you are treated with an officious attitude, as though you are bothering them by asking for the prescription.

Since Jackson has worked in the Pharmacy there has a been a real improvement in the service at Barrow. His politeness is second to none and his customer service is impeccable. Prescriptions seem to be ready quicker too. I have heard so many positive comments on Jacksons service.

Called 60 times in less than an hour. The line has been busy for all of it and there was one small point where I thought I got through finally, only for the line to ring for several minutes then say 'no one is available to pick up your call' and hang up. They say call the pharmacy instead of 111 or the GP, but no one can even pick up the phone?? They won't even let you hold? You just have to keep ringing and hope? Ridiculous.

Burnt my hand on the cooker, asked boots in barrow for a burns dressing. Told , we don’t have any dressing’s for burns. I was completely dumbfounded. Then asked for a prescription just done by the GP. Sorry we’ve run out of labels for prescriptions come back after 2pm

Disorganised, shelving half empty and ignoring waiting customers despite being able to see the build up of customers from the back , they choose to ignore us.
Shameful, get your act together or get decent respectful staff.

I have never once had a bad experience here in the 5 years we've lived in barrow. Nothing has ever been too much trouble and even follow up phone calls when I've had a new med prescribed. I've seen people fly in demanding medication, I'm sorry but the staff are only human and do as much as they can. Treat others as you expect to be treated.

Very rude male member of staff today with a very poor attitude to customers. Most people collecting prescriptions are by definition poorly and could do without the rudeness and impatience displayed. Realise you are all under pressure but that is no excuse. Sort it out Boots.

I'm not sure how this pharmacy functions properly . They now have a daily lunch break from 12-2! Anyone else get a 2 hour lunchbreak ? Further to that, they close it for the whole time (pretty sure they could split breaks like most businesses have for the last 30 years). Once you can actually get in, the service is so slow for the amount of people they have it's frightening. Hope boots do something about this place as it must be loosing money daily.

Visited a number of times on my lunch break and its been closed. Their sign which explains they're on lunch 12 till 2 implies it's an exceptional circumstance, but its not, it's always closed when I need to access it.
