Prescription never ready, always needs to chase, unhelpful staff, phone always busy. I wish they could change this branch into Lloyds pharmacy where service is way better

I can’t understand any of the negative reviews here. I have literally always found the staff so so helpful. They actually go above and beyond. They didn’t have a prescription that we needed and so the pharmacist phoned around four other chemists until he found one that had it for us.
Our son was sick, he checked him out and even phoned through to get us a Drs appointment as he was concerned.
They’re always so so polite and accommodating.
I think people need to understand that they’re extremely busy and need to be more understanding and patient.

Suffering from hay fever this year, first time in my life so not familiar with the symptoms or remedies. I was struggling to open my eyes, explained they felt itchy and the pharmacist said “see your GP”- without even taking an assessment of my symptoms. Today a lady described similar symptoms and the pharmacist took her into the consultation room. A few locals have noticed the inequality of treatment.

Having struggled a bit with getting hold of stock at our local Lloyds pharmacy, we've moved to using Hedgegrail - a little further out, but so far worth the travel.

Generally I've found the service to be good, but first impressions weren't great when I had a slightly rude and defensive reply to a query about a prescription - no one likes working with the public (I did it for 12 years) but it's important to be courteous and understanding if you choose to do so: "It's not my fault" can be replaced with "I'm sorry, we said it would be here but our supplier didn't deliver it on time".

The second visit was better, so we're looking forward to a positive future!
