Today I was due a Covid booster vaccine but declined it (they are now using Moderna and I want continuity of Pfizer, which as a patient is my choice).
More specifically, there is no reason why I should be able to clearly hear the name, address, date of birth, NHS number and answer to underlying health conditions question, of the person in front of me. What happened to private consultation and privacy of personal information/ GDPR? There is a door, it should be closed so that the patient’s confidentiality is maintained. If you don’t think this is important, you are simply wrong and I strongly suggest you check your legal obligations in this regard.
Furthermore, the nonsense about keeping the door open to reduce spread of Covid is ridiculous. You know full well that anyone would be discouraged from attending the pharmacy for a vaccine if they were currently infectious, and that you would be prevented from administering such a vaccine to anyone known or suspected of currently being infected. The door closing should be standard so that private, personal information is not shared with random strangers. The onus should not be in the patient to insist on privacy.
I shall no longer use your establishment.
