Excellent service. I had to collect an urgent prescription for my granddaughter. I went to Boots who did not have it in stock. They never have what you need when you need it, expecting you to return the following day. I went across the road to Macks. The pharmacist, her dispensary assistant and staff were so helpful. They had the medication in stock. The pharmacist explained how to use the medication and she gave me a demonstration on how to use the inhaler. I happily give Macks Pharmacy the full five stars for providing an outstanding friendly, first class professional pharmacy service.

This pharmacy is frankly dangerous. On numerous occasions they have given over the wrong amount of medication, or not made a note of how much has been handed over when they haven’t had the full amount available. They then ask the customer to remember how much they’ve been given, which is surely not legal when dealing with prescribed medications.

Every time a member of my family has had to collect a prescription from them there has been a problem, usually that they’ve put it in the wrong place or lie and say they have no record of it (when a phone call to the go surgery proves they’ve been sent it). Worst of all they never apologise for their mistakes and are often downright rude.

Some of their staff are not adhering to covid regulations either, not wearing a mask both behind the counter and out on the shop floor.

A terrible business, do yourself a favour and find a different pharmacy.

If I could leave zero stars I would. This is the worst pharmacy I have ever known. They give out the wrong medication, if a prescription says 28 tablets you only get half that in the box. Then when I try to ring them, I can never get through because its always a constant engaged tone. So I went to the pharmacy and asked why the telephone is always engaged, has the handset been replaced I asked. I was told of course it had been replaced so I told them to check it and low and behold guess what?????? It was off the hook. This is every Saturday and most week days. They also have trouble in understanding people when talking over the phone. I will not use this place anymore. Avoid Avoid Avoid

Went for covid booster shot. Clearly marked areas to sit and wait in. Names if those waiting were checked. Appointment began on time. Comfy and clean private area to receive the vaccine. All information needed from me was collected. The vaccine and possible side effects all clearly explained. Promptly and professionally delivered

I am a deputy manager for a care home. I came in contact with Macks pharmacy because one of our new residents still have to use them until we register him with a local GP. I rang to re-order medication for this person, and I have to say I found the staff team very accommodating, polite and extremely helpful. I take off my hat to the team. I thought I had to beg for medication but no they were very helpful, and I felt stress free. Well done

I bought Aspirin Dispersible 75mg Tablets - 100 Tablets here on 24 January 2023. They cost £4.99. A rip off price, taking advantage of our most vulnerable. Boots opposite (on the High Street) is £1.99. Beckenham Pharmacy, 70 High Street is £1.50. The box bought in Marks is labelled Almus, but inside the leaflet says they come from the same factory Aspar. All of the products mentioned here come from the same source, Aspar.

Visited today Christmas Eve for first time to Macks Pharmacy. For my booster jab. Excellent service. Friendly and efficient. From greeting and check in to having the jab was excellent. Very personal and informative versus mass centres I used jab 1 and 2. Looks a well stocked chemist too in convenient location. Impressed by Macks. Keep up the good work.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with this Pharmacy. Ola the pharma is always helpful and the staff are friendly and will always do all they can to help. They're not a high street branch like Boots or Superdrug so don't expect them to be able to provide the same products but as far pharmaceuticals go Mack's provide exactly the same service only quicker and more efficiently.
